A stray at least has a chance for survival. If they are captured and imprisoned in a shelter the majority of them are put to death.

*dogs are domestic animals
*they do not handle the cold like wild animals
*Wolves and Coyotes hunt in pacts (shall we have packs of feral dogs?) Oh that is right you do not know what can happen if that evolves
*more unwanted and neglected animals spreading disease when not neutered or spayed
*getting hit by a car and if not dead on impact there is suffering
*starvation is a slow death too

Shall I go on or do you have more educated comments to make?

I live within an audible distance from locals (fortner and shuler) that have their animals outside year round constantly barking and howling. In fact they are out there at the moment and its 4 degrees. Florida residents? Get your facts straight before you run your mouth.
