Who really cares??
These people (family and worthless state police) interfered with normal functions at Mission Hospital for 5 hours after the child died - completely inappropriate!!!!

How mean can you be? There are people who really cared about this family. Sounds like you have no one that would care about you. It is a baby something very precious. But with this country he is proably better off with Jesus.

How could you be so mean this poor woman has lost her husband and her child in less than 6 mo. Do you have no heart or compassion for others? Think of what she has had to go through...I wish you would think about other people.

This is by far one of the saddest stories you can hear. Both son and father passing away in the same year. Both too young to go. The good news is that they are in a better place now away from this cruel world of hate and cowards!

No, what is sad is that while taking care of a very ill child and mourning the death of her husband, Michaela was trying to think of ways to do something to honor the community that has stood by her and supported her and loved her, only to have people like those above to talk trash about her, her husband and her son.

Michaela has gone through more in four months than most people here will go through in a lifetime. She has been poised, articulate, thankful and most of all humbled by your kindness. The fact that she even wants to give back shows the maturity and grace and love she has for others.

Many people can learn from Michaela Blanton. She at age 24, is what you should strive to be like, when and if you ever grow up.

As for the name calling, the only name you should be calling Tye is Tye.

Tye was a beautiful bundle of joy. His skin was smooth, his hair black like his fathers, he would hold on to your finger, he was no different from your child or my child other than he was ill. He was still a living, breathing beautiful little boy. You see, I know, because I visited with Tye, I spent time with Tye, I loved Tye.

God make absolutely no mistakes. Tye was given to us for a reason and it isn't my place, your place or anyone else's to question God for his reasons. Michaela is a religous woman and her hand is firmly planted in Gods, that is why she has been so graceful through all of this, for she knows it is His will.

We should all strive to live our life the way Shawn did: fun, everyday as if it was his last, loving, giving back and we all would be better people. We all should look toward Michaela and learn strength. We all should learn love from Tye. This family that has come into your life, your homes for the past four months can teach you so much if you would just stop and listen. How many other 24 year olds can you say that about!

To the first 2 posters whom I find very offensive, and totally heartless: I hope you never have to deal with a tragedy and have some idiot laughing about it

And to Tye and his family: I do not know you but I want you to know that I am with you all in spirit and send you love and strength every day

May grief leave your home soon and be replaced with love

Agreed, the local 'community' will forget about the Burrito Baby once the fundraisers end. The whole circus smacks of insincere pandering in the name of 'god & country.'
RIP, Zombie.
You and ckw are nothing but a bunch of internet toughies. I have no relationship to the blanton family, have never even met them. I have a 16 month old daughter that I went home and held for hours after hearing of this childs death, and thinked god for his blessing me with my little girl. You have no compassion for what that family is going through. Simply put, after making a comment like that it pisses me off enough that I would love to meet either one of you out and stomp you arse, for you!!!!

Some people in this world is so cruel to talk about someone that you don't even know. Know matter who you are or what kind of life you live you should never wish this upon no one and as for CKW you should be ashamed of yourself to talk about a child that has know way of fighting back. As for Michaela i will continue to pray for you and your family. You and Little Tye has touched the who community and made not just me realize how precious life really is. May god be with you Michaela, and remember that Shawn and Tye are gods special angles now.

You are a sorry excuse for a human being. How dare you talk that way with the tragedy and heartache that this young woman has undergone. Do you not have a heart?

To the 1st 2 posters, you were smart enough to post anonomously, but your intelligence obviously ends there. Cheap shots are easy when you hide.

Officer Blanton was an honest, caring, and diligent public servant. His son was an innocent child.

You two posters are the real waste in society.

For some reason everyone including WLOS and ACT think that Tye was the only sick baby around and if you say anything these Tye lovers act like you have said something ugly. I've got news for you people there are other people in this world and life goes on. The troopers blocked roads by the funeral home and people couldn't even get to their homes. That is ridiculous and yes it was very inappropriate for activities to be interupted at Mission Hospital when there was live people needing help. Watching Mrs. Blanton on TV I was hoping that one of breasts didn't fall out of that cleavage revealing dress she had on at the funeral.

Does she have no heart? Why did she think that Mission Hospital should just stop because her baby died? Seems pretty selfish to me. Would you feel the same way if you had someone in the hospital that needed attention and everything was stopped because one baby died.

That's not the point it's the things you and that other uncaring person said that showed what kind of cold-blooded people you are.

Do you think she asked for the hospital to stop, I doubt it. Maybe it did because people had compassion and felt sorry for her. Would you rather no one care about a child dying as you do?

Somehow I can't beleive that "everything" at the hospital was stopped. Maybe the ignorant "da's" posting all these negative thoughts should just think for a minute if they were in this situation. I have 2 children of my own and my thoughts and prayers are with this family, No one can imagine what they are going through. And to think that there are people out there that will hide and say these negative comments. If you have nothing good to say maybe you should keep your D mouth shut.
