Sam Beck had the Sequoyah Cafeteria in downtown cherokee. The building is still there. The rock work in the building is awesome along with the neat windows. I was recently in the building. It is now a tourist shop with many Cherokee made items for sale. The motel is out of business next to the casino. Sam Beck did lots of good things in the Cherokee area. Someone should write a book while the people with these stories are still around to share them!
