I would like to say we have the worst lights of any town around.I have had e-mails with the mayor several times and he just seems to have no remorse of the quality of lights we have. Some of the lights are 0-25 years old.Its just a hodge podge of whatever they could find. When you go through town, you would not even know it was Christmas, just a few polls with a string of lights on them. When he told me lights were expensive and Hartsville could not afford it.I almost chocked.I have never seen Hartsville not get something they wanted. Why would anyone go shopping downtown(no Chtistmas Spirit),when they could go to any surrounding towns ans look at the pretty lights and enjoy the spirit.Just my oponion.

Hanging 3000 lights on our three masts proved to be pretty and impressive on this waterfront! We provided the fuel to run the generator, and the downtown merchants (plus a few donations) provided the lights. We *loved* doing this for the community, and it was well received. We'd like to share this with other small coastal communities.
