Nothing knew, my company removed spouses before obamacare. Health insurance has been changing and rates going up long before obamacare. Not saying obamacare is not having an effect, just saying I wonder how much of it is really due to obamacare and how much is what they were going to do anyway in time if obamacare didn’t exist.

Obamacare is just a nice excuse to improve profits by reducing costs. Only affects non-union employees(all Managment). Ups Managment have been taking cuts left and right, during record profit years, in a down economy... Makes me wonder why the country has been so anti-union for years. Drivers are getting raises every year and full (uncut) healthcare, and a retirement (401k is also an added option). I wonder if unions will be making a strong comeback???

Our company forced this issue 10 years ago. While I feel for them - rising healthcare will continue to crush the benefit. Keep in mind the cost of healthcare for a good plan is about 1000-1200 for a man/wife for companies and rising.

Affordable Healthcare Act was designed by Republicans and pushed out by Obama. So take the politics out of it - in my view both parties are guilty. It is a broken system that I don't know if there is a fix for. It doesn't address the basic issues that health care insurance, for profit medicine, poor practitioners and lawsuits are primarily what is driving the cost up. Eliminate bad doctors and nurses, drive out lawsuits and then eliminate for profit medical centers/insurance companies - maybe that would drive down the prices of insurance and care.

hmmmmmmmm, wonder why......

ehhh, no, not at all.

I wonder how many more people will blame Bush for this (also)..

I think 1000 years from now, the only president we will ever remember in this country is GW Bush. Liberals have hysterically made this man more known than Ashoka, even 5 years out.
