According to the article, it was the bike that crossed the center line. Condolences to the family.

Why is a 75 year old deputy still on patrol?

Well, one of the two motorists crossed the center-line. I guess we'll never know for certain if it was the 75 year old or the 25 year old. Which seems more likely????

Did the motorcyclist misjudge the deputy's approach because the deputy was speeding?
The problem with police investigating themselves is they never find themselves at fault, and the victim isnt able to provide any info.

I know for a fact that this deputy is a bitter old racist. "Fact". He is too old and senile to be on active duty. Delaware county no longer allows this deputy to transport inmates to Doc because he is too old and "old school" racist. OHP, Please investigate!

I believe this is the Delaware County Deputy who is battling testicular cancer. He has a lot more experience driving a car than some whipper-snapper who was probably raw-hiding it.

Being old does not meen senile. But being the only witness to an accident should by itself warrant further invetigation. What where the road conditions where it happened? Rough roads? Skid marks. I knew a guy once who was so medicated that he drove his bike head on into a semi. No skid marks. But anyway you wont know the truth without an investigation.

Regardless of whose fault it was, my heart bleeds for the family of Mr. Drake as he was a dedicated soldier, loving husband, and very young man with a very bright future. My heart goes out to the members of his family as he was preceded in death by his mother less than a year and a half ago by a similar incident of a vehicle crossing the centerline and striking her vehicle. The world is a lesser place today and he will sorely be missed. My sincerest condolences to his wife Jenn. Drake, we love you brother.

First. My condolences to the friends and family of this fallen soldier. On or off the feild he served our country and you should feel proud.

Second. Age has nothing to do with this man dying. What if it were the other way around and the 75 year old was on the bike. Just because your old doesnt mean its your fault.

Third. If you have ever been on this stretch of road you would know that this road is a motorcyclist dream. Sharp curves very few straight aways narrow road (nooo shoulder at all). I have several friends who travel this road for fun and to see how fast you can get through it all, I have a few friends die on this road too. I am not saying this guy was hauling a$$, just saying it is very easy to cross the centerline on this road.

What gullible morons. Just because the other vehicle was a 75 year old deputy, you all throw out conspiracy theories and want to blame him, then joke he is a racist.

Its the same principal as blaming the accident on a young guy on a motorcyle: He must have been a hotdog, its all his fault. Trouble is, you're not smart enough to see the irony.

Go out and look if you're not satisfied. I guess you think OHP is capable of moving all the oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, broken glass, etc to the opposite side of the road, and convincing all the EMT's, onlookers, and wrecker drivers to lie.

But wait, you probably think the moon landing is fake, too, so what's the point?

I would have to say you are right. There should be all kinds of debris at the point of inpact. As a rider myself I like riding the twistie's as we call them. However I never take a unknown curve much faster than the posted speed limit because of what happened here, or looks like happened here. Prayers to the family and of course to the soldier. God bless my friend and thank you for your service.

You can't be ejected from something you were never inside of. Motorcycles = organ donation machines.

It doesn't matter. When the young man decided to get on a motorcycle, he made the decision that his life was not worth anything.

What are "prays"? If you meant "prayers", perhaps you should have prayed BEFORE he died!

Too bad he didn't care enough for his family to not risk his life on a motorcycle. What a selfish young man he was.

Ummmm don't think you read the article right. It says the 25 year old motorcyclist crossed lanes and hit the police car.
