This is great news! Now the Pawn Shop Sheriff can refuel anywhere in TULSA while he is filming his Pawn Shop commericials!

Even if this is coming from Walton's office, this is a good idea. I have been in the position, driving a patrol car, of being very low on fuel and wondering if I could make it to a City of Tulsa fueling station. With the described safeguards, this system should work fine in a "low-fuel" situation. I'm not a Walton supporter but come on Jim.....common sense shows that this particular system will track usage and costs.

Jim I am not sure whether you know it or not but the "pawn shop" Sheriff remarks from you are lame. Have you ever even met the man? You are quick to judge someone you have probably never met. Obviously the people of Rogers County are okay with it cause you seem to be the only one going on and on about it. Go play with your kids and quit being so bitter.

I placed the 2nd post on this particular forum and obviously like this particular idea that has been put into operation. And.....I have met Walton, having worked with and around him for years at the TPD. I am not judging him.....on the contrary, I am expecting him to just behave in a professional manner so as not to embarass the law enforcement officers in northeast Oklahoma. I know Walton very well and anytime he can get some "air time," whether it's TV, radio or newspapers, he does it. I agree that Mr. Hall needs to temper his attacks.....but I would also like to see the Rogers County Sheriff temper his unprofessional conduct.....

This is not an issue about the sheriff. It is an issue about the ground troops having ample fuel to get from one call to another from one side of the county to the other and not having to stop and deal with only three areas to get fuel. On top of that having to deal with the gates in bad weather too and have the hot call come in on top of that. Jim some issues you need to put a sock in it and get over it.

I have met Walton. He did not seem like much to me. He acted like he was above everybody. I could not care whether it is Walton or Bugs Bunny that is sheriff of Rogers County.

I do not see how the people of Rogers County are O.K. with it. Everyone that I know who have seen the commercials say that it is not legal. But then it is common knowledge that Walton Was not elected to the office.

Then if you don't care quit complaining about it. There are more important things going on in the world than a sheriff making a commercial. How does it affect you? He is not hurting anyone so pleaseeeeee give it rest. Such babies!

What is it you think I am complaining about? I am not complaining about Walton. Could not care less. When people first see those commercials they say that is illegal just like the Tulsa World said.

I think it is funny. "police officers and firefighters "ONLY" sell to Tulsa Gold and Gems. Isn't that a lie? I also like the shoe level camera angle looking upward. He looks like a giant. I always had to look down to see him and I am not tall.

Let me see. The "reported" election cost was half of the four year sheriff's salary. How much was the "unreported" election cost? The other two years? No doubt Walton needs to make some money.

Nobody disputes the fact that Walton was not elected. That the election was a farce. That my friend, is open, rampant corruption.

its the same 3 people crying about walton on here all the time. they have nothing better to do then cry around about how they are so mis treaded. Seems the Sheriff's dept is doing a great job to me keep it up guys. Dont let a couple bad seeds get you down. I know you guys do whats right. Walton has already proved that several times. Rogers County dont play the good ole boy system. It dont matter who you are or what you do, they will arrest you if you break the law. They have arrested several police officers around the county and from other counties and dept. they have even arrested thier own. The paper says walton cleared the commercials with lawyers and the commitioners before he done them. sooo....whats the problem? Wake up and cry about something that matters. Spend your time being a productive citizen

Good idea Walton. This should have been done years ago. These troops need all the help they can get. I know they stay hooked up for us.

Please understand, I oppose corrupt officials. I agree with a comdata card that allows the deputies to refuel in a convinent place. It should be limited to only businesses within Rogers County. Had the Pawn Shop Sheriff advertised for Booger John's, Easy Pawn or B&R I would have nothing to say about it. Always support your local businesses. It is unethical for Walton to support a non-Rogers County buiness.

County tax money should stay in the county that pays it.

I only wish the JIMS and the DAVIDS were able to get a job so they could leave everyone alone. I have noticed when people WORK for a living they do not get into everyones buisness. Maybe they should go to the doctor and get medication so they could get a real job. Thus allowing them too concentrate on the job so they could stop harrasing the rogers county government.

Hey Jim you are such a smart butt, then how can you say just limit the cards to Rogers County??? What about transports those are not only limited to Rogers County. I guess you want the Deputies to pay for gas out of their own pocket or should we just tell other authorities that they are unable to pick up a wanted criminal because we are unable to fuel outside the county??? Also you say that it is okay for him to advertise for a local pawn shop in the county, yet you say he should be fired for doing one outside the county??? Let me ask you a question... Do you do "ALL" of your shopping and business transactions only in your county and do you drive your car only in your county???? I think not. You really need to drop the double standard issue. You are quoting the Bible verses in other threads too. Well if I remember one right you should reread this one...Who so ever is without sin, then cast the first stone.

Sorry deputy but I broke the story and I personally called Mike Helm and he about had a fit for him doing this. This happened right about the time the sheriff destroyed my newsletter going into the jail. And on that note he is going to have another Federal Lawsuit to deal with for being so stupid. Look, no one has the pulse on what the Rogers County residents think better than me and my 21,756 readers. I here it all and I have not had one person that is OK with this unless you are a deputy which I see there are quite a few on here. You should really check your facts before spouting off like you know what is going on.
I have a ton of voters in those 21,756 readers and just ask Abitbol what happens when you cross that line. The sheriff is next and he will be voted out or I will take down my web site !

Thank you to www.badcourt.com for brining this back to the subject at hand: the Pawn Shop Sheriff. The fuel card is a good idea. They can have one or two cards that are active anywhere for transport. Comdata can allow each acrd to be active in different places. I had one once that would only work at certain fuel stops.

Have you gueys seen the sign across from the courthouse lately?

MR bad court should stop sucking off society to harass those that have the ability to do something he can't. WORK! He funds his website with OUR tax dollars and he has his mommy paying for the sign by the courthouse. What a great guy! not....
