believe it or not but there are many idiots out there that won't ask permission first to pet a dog's head/chin. I bet this person tried that then the dog bit or maybe play nip. Then again, that person could've been a real loser and actually swung. To play the otherside of it, you should've probably had the pup on a closer lead and paid more attention. The whole situation just sucks for the dog

its all your fault. you and your dog should go straight to jail.
why do you and others like to blow everything out of proportion. A graze is suddenly a chunk and a pat is then a blow to the head. You won't find any reasonable responses here. Crazy crazy people.

If anyone tried to take my dog I would move to Canada. People make mistakes and animals react.

I have a dog who is aggressive & as the owner take every precaution to ensure the safety of others. Owner of the dog your wrong wiether it was a nip or not your dog bite someone ! What if it was a child running who new know better I'm sure you would blame them too . I understand the frustration when a dog bites , but I can assure you that man did not wake up that morning planning on going out to get bite while doing his job! Being Hispanic in Everett really go figure you would try the race card because you made and error in judgement ! Take responsibility for your action & the fact that you didn't take the proper precautions to ensure the safety of others .

So what you are saying is that if you were "an old school Everett person" people would not have cared if your dog bit someone?

It's a 50/50? I don't think so. Your unmuzzled dog bit someone - you are 100% at fault. End of story.

Yes. i believe had we been white the reaction would have been diferent with nosey people surrounding the situation. I was wrong not saying i wasn't for not having him muzzled, but who swings their hand in a dogs face?

Guaranteed that most of "those nosey people "were not white. Open your eyes .

The dog doesnt bite anyone if it had a muzzle. Its really sad that the race card is being used here. If it was my dog id pay his medical bills and apologize a million times hoping he doesnt try to get my bog put down.

I refrained from commenting and was wondering where this topix would go. Then yesterday Felicia played the race card !!!! Hmmmm ... no need for a race card !!!

1) Your dog was not muzzled - which is the law.

2) You said the dog had (?) two ear infections - you admitted yourself that you thought the dog wouldn't appreciate a muzzle (huh ???)....

3) Pits are known to be aggressive (go to dogbites.com )....I know, I know, but "MY dog is so sweet"....pits are even known to attack their owners and maul, maim and even KILL children (read up on it lady)...

4) I know, other dogs can be aggressive and bite ... but pits are tenacious (look it up)....

From what I understand this person was just walking by, did not approach you or the dog, and your sweet dog bit him ... I have no idea if he was white, black, green, red or yellow .... You are lucky it wasn't my child or myself that was bit.

Now put your race card away ... no need for it .... Everett is a very diverse city....we don't play the race card .... Don't like it here, leave.
