He is an EHS student and he is 18. Angry Parent was mistaken when they said the Boys & Girls club is for kids 13-19, it's for kids 13-18.

Glad that issue was resolved for you and your son. Can you tell us if the person who took the phone will be reprimanded in any fashion?

Next I think they need to lower the age of members of the Boys & Girls Club ... an 18 year old is not a 'boy' per se - he is a grown adult...!!!!!

Even age 16 is pushing it for being a youngster !!! Perhaps a spin-off of this 'club' for an older age group ????

No I will not give his name out. If I was going to do that I would have posted it the first time. I'm sure proper steps are being taken to address this. Alot of people got involved and helped in recovering my sons phone. Im thankful that these people took their own time and efforts to help. What I would like to say is please talk to your children about being responsible and securing valuables. This could have happened to anyone. Most times the phone is never recovered. I was lucky. Next time I may not be. To the kids out there who think no one is watching. Let this be an example of how wrong you are. In this day and age there are cameras everywhere watching. Look on the MBTA, Libraries, Schools and yes the Boys and Girls Club. Big Brother is watching and you will get caught. Thanks everyone and have a Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday which ever you celebrate.

Angry Parent: I never asked for the boy's name - although he is past being protected as a minor,? right.

I still think the ages of the Boys & Girls Club are not in the older ones being mixed in with the younger members. At 17 and 18 your ideas are much different than a 13 to 14 year old. I always assumed it was for 'youngsters'-- not young adults....

I misread your post. Sorry. Yes I agree with you the age limit should be addressed.

I have to ask why would a 17 or 18 yr old be interested in hanging out with what ?? 13 or 14 years old children (maybe even younger than 13, I 'm not sure of the youngest members - but the club is: Boys and Girls Club ... that indicates to me, young teens....these 17 and 18 year old are old enough to work, etc. Do they drive there ? Based on that information (age differences) there is no way I would allow any of my children to join that 'club'....
