The best choice for Everett is clear. John Hanlon, he has the experience and the will to do a honest job and put the people of Everett first. It's that simple. I'm behind him 110% and I'm not the only one. This city is sick and tired of the crooked politicians. Let's put an honest man in office.

Markey: Too old, Washington insider...

Hanlon: Wasn't a great mayor, too old

Matewsky: Developing story there

Cornellio: No experience, too young

Mangan: In Carlo's pocket, no way

Wonder who Malden can come up with - that is with no baggage...

Halon was not a good mayor.

It's not even clear if there is going to be a special election. No one has announced one yet or a date for it so everybody is acting too immature and being premature about jumping in a race. All these current politicians that are jumping in the race are going to ignore their constituents and current issues unless they step down.

Personally, I'd like to see someone new.

By law there has to be an election by May.

Lets make sure e very one understands that HANLON was the WORST mayor that the city ever had. The outrageously high tax problems started with him. HANLON showed us how incompetent he was and how good and fiscally conservative of a mayor that Dave Ragucci was.
NO HANLON

This man is the worst person for any job, could not even be a mayor for more than one term. Go away and take all the loosers he appointed when he was elected. jerk

There's a lot of other people in the race besides him. You sound like he makes you nervous and you could not be any further from the truth about the tax problems starting with him.

Lets make sure you understand Mr. Hanlon was robbed of an election and spent a lot of money on it. He would have won that election if he was defrauded against. Smith won in 2010 by 394 votes. 778 did NOT count. That means Mr. Hanlon should have won that race by 384 votes if Smith did not cheat. Anyone involved in this fraud and thinks it's okay to write down deceased persons names or their associates day will come.

The poster from Malden is clueless, mean, nuts, and doesn't post factually. His mind is distorted--a real screwball.

Keep it up nitwit. Your posts are laughable. You can't get over the Ragucci defeat!

This is a FACT and is not disputed. Smith daughter Carlie, Matewsky and Sergio Cornelio were all involved. Also, and employee from city hall. Now, Smith did a plea deal so the investigation would not go further. He could care less about Matewsky or Cornelio. He did it for his daughter. They are all scum bags. Who wants scum of the earth like that representing them, not me. Stat is facing 2 years in jail. Maybe he will get a plea again if he gives up his master list of dead people. These people are so gross.
Not Over Yet

Boston, MA

Smith's absentee ballot legal problems are not over yet. His plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office appears to be based on the hope that when Smith appears in Court before a judge to plead guilty that the judge will accept the plea agreement Smith made with the U.S. Attorney's Office. The judge can accept or reject it, especially if the judge believes a more severe punishment is warranted by using the U.S mail system.

Also the State can bring action if state election laws have been violated. According to a post on Everett Average Citizen dated 12/27, Secretary of State William Galvin wants to find out from the U.S. Attorney's Office who else was involved and what they did. If election laws were intentionally violated he plans prosecute the people involved.

Was wondering if Pete Napolitano was throwing his hat in the ring. An Independent could mix things up after these guys duke it out in the Democrate primary. I'd vote for him

There is absolutely no better selection for the job than John Hanlon. He has the experience, ability, and knowledge, Try keeping up with him. He's involved in the community in so many ways still today, than ever before. it's mind boggling. When it comes down to it. John will put the people of Everett and Malden first in every single part of him being Rep for Everett, he's done it before and will continue to do so. It's that simple.
