It is indeed a sad day to see what is happening at EHS. It is widely known amongst the faculty at EHS that 1/3 are planning to retire or leave this year. Why? The new administration headed by Erick Naumann. The Naumann leadership got off to a rocky start with two "Naumanator" videos and things haven't gotten any better. Disorganization is the rule these days as was evident at the EHS graduation and the lack of preparations beforehand. Were it not for his administrative assistant,he would be an even more disorganized. Unlike his predecessor, Eric Naumann, has lost control of the students. Allowing students to use cell phones during school hours has led to increased fighting and feuding amongst students. Other examples are too numerous to mention. And just when you figured that he would seek the support of his experienced teachers, he does just the opposite by insulting and humiliating teachers in front of students. I could go on about other examples that illustrate the incompetence of Naumann, but the fact that 1/3 of your employees are leaving or planning to leave is both unprecedented and a fitting example of poor leadership and a lack of confidence in this new administration. The most disturbing part is the price that our children will pay.

Maybe the teachers want to teach children who are willing to learn? Since over half of them are ESL students, the teachers must get really frustrated. Maybe Mr. Naumann is partly to blame but the parents are to blame as well. This city and it's school administration blows.

Why should Mr. Naumann seek the support of the teacher's? The superintendent of schools who, by authority of the Birmingham-Roosevelt Education "Reform" law, has sole jurisdiction with very few exceptions, of all hiring and firing in a school system, personally chose Mr. Naumann to the principalship of the high school. Mr. Forestiere apparently continues to see Mr. Naumann in a favorable light, so why would Naumann be concerned with whatever anyone else thinks?

Wow,
obvious hit piece from a disgruntled teacher against E.N.

1/3 of the teachers are leaving?

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof,

care to post any?

I bet you're not one of the teachers who is leaving.

The Sunday Boston Herald had a piece saying that the EHS Drama Club was being discontinued by FFF. The story made reference to some content in recent Drama Club presentations that the Puritanical Superintendent found offensive.
An after-school Drama program may be started next year. Then the story turned hilarious. Principal Nauman will have the power to censor Drama Club presentations. Yes, the same Principal whose Nauminator video disgraced the city a short time ago will now judge what is appropriate to be staged at EHS. You can't make this stuff up. Another great call Fred.

Foresteire objected to the references to sex and drinking. Oh perish the thought that the precious little innocents should have their moral compass compromised by the exposure to such wanton depravity and unbridled lasciviousness and moral turpitude.
The line about the boy dropping his pants on stage was hilarious.

Is this the same Forestiere who had porno tapes removed from his house by the state police during his airconditionergate episode?

The name is spelled Foresteire and he doesn't do that stuff. He is a liar and a thief. There are enough problems with the guy that we don't need to manufacture any.

Nauman isn't the whole problem. Did you happen to hear Omar speak at the graduation? A sad day in Everett when your VP of high school speaks like a first grader. An embarrassment to our city. He cannot articulate to save his life. This is the ppl we want our kids to look up to and relate to. NOT. Bad choice all around with Nauman and Omar, what was FFF thinking, oh yeah he was thinking semi football, semi legend, semi looks good for Everett if we hire him. Pay not mind to the fact that he cannot put two words together without sounding stupid. Many better choices were overlooked for these two positions. One very popular choice recently left and went to the Parlin, what a loss for the HS and shame on FFF for letting it happen. Once again sports before the better of our kids.

I'm sorry but I think you are way out of line with this. Omar Easy happens to hold a MASTERS Degree in Education. I'm pretty sure they don't just give those things out. Just because he doesn't speak well doesn't mean he can't manage properly. And yes using him as an example to other young students isa positive for this city and its growing demographics. Many may see Omar as a sign to stay in school and get an education and make a life for yourself like he did.

Actually, Omar has a doctorate (don't ask me how). Education really isn't a legitimate field of study - it is just a lot of touchy feely crap. But never mind Omar butchering the language, what about Fred? "Each and every one of you is here tonight because each and every one of you...". "We can't budget what you don't have". "Not guilty, you honor."

How would his poor articulation and poor use of the ENGLISH language be apossitive thing for our city? How is it possible that he passed college english course to earn this Degree? Let me guess another football star who was shuffled along buy the skin of his teeth just so he could play and make the school/college look good. How does him butchering the english language teach our kids that education is good for them when obviously it failed in certain courses (basic english) for him. I will tell you the only thing it teaches our kids is that if you play the almighty football then you are a PET in EHS and other places and you really don't have to work hard at your education because you will get special favors in return, whether you rightfully deserve them or not! Slack-off OK as long as you have a football in your hand. NO THANK YOU. Learn how to speak and write english properly, then be a role model for our future college bound kids. An just MHO but other than sports talk, how does he deal well with the kids in school? How does he deal with difficult situations in school when they arise, football talk doesn't apply to most topics. I am not knocking what he tried to accomplish with his life great for him,but come on seriously, wrong choice for VP...huge, big mistake. as a mentor/big brother he seems ok but as and educator now way. Maybe he should look into speach training or something I don't know I just saying no one will ever take his serious when he sounds the way he does, so,well stupid uneducated

Good! Some of those retirements are probably way overdue. Get some young and enthusiastic teachers and maybe the school will improve.

young, fresh faces does not in any way make up for years of experience, and well earned trust and respect from students. I'm not saying all the retirements should be accepted but most are not nearly ready. It takes alot for teachers to EARN RESPECT AND TRUST from students that is not something that is just given from students because you are in a position of authority like many teachers demand. When that is rightfully earned then you know you have a special person who knows how to deal with our kids on level they deserve (not demeaning power crazy) these special people shouldn't leave because FFF screwed up and they feel they have no other choice, it does our kids a great injustice.
