What happened to Everett.Lets remember it the way it was! Everyone who comes to this Blog must have memories. Do you remember Papa Gino's in the square? When Stop and Shop was in Glendale square? Riley's roast beef?Jack in the box? Everett Music? I still remember and that is what keeps me in Everett. Anyone else?

It's the people that have changed so much that make the biggest difference.

I notice yet another Brazilian market has opened up on Ferry St. next to Joyce's Beauty Salon. Of course, a huge Brazilian flag is hanging in the window!

Well, there is more disappointing news to come from Everett, do you remember when all those new condos were built on Chelsea St close to store 24, and they were listed at $350,000 each with a top broker as the seller, well those condos' or Appartments are now begging section 8 and low income people to live in them. And of course you know what that signifies, it will be the end of Everett MA as a city and will turn like Chelsea or Lynn which are a detrement to the state.

Did they really think people were going to pay that much money for condos in Everett? I think they were trying to draw the young professionals that work in Boston but they don't want to come here because they know what Everett is like. What a shame.

Stores come and go. Revere beach has changed, route one has changed. But Everett has allowed an element of people to come and disrespect everyone and everything. No respect for any laws or customs. Thanks to all Everett politicians past and present for allowing this to happen. Aldermen, councilmen, mayors, school committee, state reps. Special thanks to the most useless congressman in Washington for the last 30 years. The two senators don't even know or care what has happened to this city. Senator Kennedy is getting a medal from Mexico for how much he has done for their people. That's great.

Don't you remember the Waldorf, in Everett Suare, where all the "fat cats" met? And what about the A&P Market, on the hill, where, as soon as you walked in the door, you could smell the sweet aroma of Coffee Beans grinding at the checkout counters. I can still smell it!
