Mayor Demaria has not yet formally replyed to Robert Van Campen's challenge of over a month ago to hold several debates on critical issues. Is he afraid?

If Carlo refused to debate Peter Napolitano then anyone who thinks he will debate Rob Van Campen is pipe dreaming. If I were Rob I'd move on from that and take it to the papers and mailings. Reach every house and let them know DeMaria won't debate. When you have nothing to hide there should be nothing to be scared of. After 6 years DeMaria should know this stuff and stop dragging his feet.

How did you get your job? Hanson? So has Van Campen promised you a better position?

When is this debate scheduled for?

I want to know why the mayor has been ignoring every other factor in this city except for the casino. We have not been awarded the license yet and he focuses more time on this mindless stuff with threats of taking over peoples homes and businesses on lower broadway. There's no Wynn-Fall here. Everything will be purchased at fair market value. That is how it is written. This is so MORALLY WRONG. These are people's homes and businesses. REMEMBER - "The term 'blighted' is a statutory word, has nothing to do with the fact your home is not painted, or whatever the excuse will be from Mayor McFatass. He is going to be causing BIG TIME lawsuits in the city and we aint gonna get the license anyway with all the opponents of the casino. The mayor is running this city into the ground!!

"Redevelopment" means working with existing people who are there and redevelop. Not -'You get out! We're bringing the casino in" Carlo has NEVER made an argument about "blighted" properties until now. Look up people that have given up their homes. They get money from the developer and the government BUT they wait years and years for that government funds.

Lastly - Dont forget the mayor took Air Force Road by eminent domain and there's NOTHING going on with that stagnant chemical infested land., so what was the purpose?

CARLO needs to answer to this BEFORE the primary or I'll make sure many votes are taken away from that chicken sh it.

Are you kidding me? Blighted properties have always been one of the Mayor's top priorities while in office.

The city council has received a letter stating that the mayor will be creating a "redevelopment committee" to consist of 4 people to determine which properties on lower broadway would be taken for the casino. There are homes and I think 2 businesses that are in question right now.

This committee will consist of DeMaria hacks and when asked if they will be paid salary, the answer is yes, most likely. It;s probably more election promises. It's more positions that are not necessary and to just give taxpayer dollars to people that hold signs for DeMaria.

Wynn wants Ciro's and the Brazilian Building (that's under current renovations) for either parking overflow or employee parking. What a waste! The bells go off in Dimaria head that it's another excuse to pay his hacks with tax dollars. We dont need a committee to take property by eminent domain. When was Everett awarded the license? Did I miss that press release?

More and more I'm regretting this casino.

This is awful. I'm wondering which homes and business they will take. What will go in place of these buildings? If this is the case they should pay top dollar for these homes and business. Is the business the scrap yard on the corner? What about the park after that? Is there a detailed drawing of this plan?

Reminds me of the privately owned parking lots taken by the city on School Street, and by the Devens.

You have it, we want it, we're takin' it.

If Carlo cant control the debate he wont do it. He's a control freek and abuses all who dont sgree with him. If the Everett public saw what he was really like they'd have him arrested.

People are acting if the casino is coming, it still has to get approval by the state. If the Mayor can't agree to a debate, then what's he hiding besides his incompetence. Time for Change people!!!
