My grandfather ran the farm just up the street from Kydds dairy. I remember going to the dairy for Ice cream cones back in the 50's and early 60's. wonderful story.

Kudos to Mr Greenhalgh !!
This column explained how transportation "morphed" from the wagon-wheel to rubber tires to mortorized vehicles--here in Lowell.
The 1930's & 1940's must have been something--back in-the-day! Thank you, sir! Lowell history at it's best!

Just reading about Skips closing soon and started thinking about going to Kydds Dairy next door in the 50's and 60's also. Loved getting those Black Raspberry ice cream cones!!! Good memories.

I love to hear about my Grandad's store. I was young when it closed, but I remember my grandpa walking down to the store for a sasperilla.
