I'd rather drive 3 miles down the road, buy in NH and save the tax; rather than pay all the taxes, have to worry about recouping costs via returns and what not. My time is more valuable than that. Seems 90% of the population live within 3 miles of NH. Or they are just spouting off nonsense thinking that anybody actually pays attention to them.
