A very sad, sad story. I hope the scumbags that ran this man over have enough decency to admit their wrongdoing. Probably went home to sober up, as is usually the case with hit and runs. My condolences to the family. I saw the aftermath of this accident this morning while investigators were there, it is tragic.

Drinking and biking? My gawd! A beginning motorcyclist starts out with a full bag of good luck and an empty bag of skill common sense. The trick is to fill the bag of skill and common sense before your bag of good luck runs out.

Why do the good ones always have to die young? Bobby, you were like my brother. The pain in my heart is almost unbearable. I will never ever forget you man, you will be sorely missed. I hope people will start taking a good hard look at drunk driving.

To my daddy from all of us we will truly miss you. We are so hurt for what just happen to you. We have never thought we will loss you this horrible way. Is so sad that someone could do this to my father, but, we forgive him. And like my Auntie said God will forgive him too if he repents. We LOVE you and will never ever forget you. I'll tell you exactly what happened.....he was on a Honda meaning he was hot-dogging it.

He's only had it since April so he didn't know how to ride it properly.

He was drinking, and may have been racing with another cyclist or a car at 4:20 in the morning (and nothing good happens in the city at 4 in the morning).

It all adds up to a death that will a little more thought and common sense shouldn't have happened.

NYS DMV needs to require driving classes before issuing motorcycle licenses. I passed the written permit test while reading the book in line at Motor Vehicles for another reason and got bored, was looking for something to do waiting to be called. Took the test 20 minutes later for kicks and got my permit. I "do not" belong on a motorcycle, just like the idiot who passed me earlier today in Orchard Park on one wheel. Too many out there that shouldn't be on four wheels

Your 100% correct. Yes it is sad that he died but he basically killed himself being stupid.

What about the two people that ran him over and took off? As always on this forum, blame the victim. Where are the gutless drunks(who else leaves the scene of an accident) that hit this poor man and kept on going?
