It is debit card, not debt card. Spell check is not always your friend.

My name is Shawn Reddick of Suffolk, and I became a Check Fraud victim. I discovered yesterday 07-10-08 that a check was written for the amount of $244.46 at a Kroger store # 538 in North Carolina on 07-03-08. The check has Chartway FCU with the name Belinda R Townsend of Cambridge,MA but with my Bank Routing number, and account number. My checking account is with Bayport CU formally none as Newport New CU. My Bank actually paid this, and has not applied the amount back to my account yet. It may take a day or so. But when this check was processed it should have been verified. My name, nor the correct Bank name was not on the check only my rounting number and checking account. I filed a police report with the Suffolk Department immediately. I just wanted to share my story with you, and to make other Bayport CU members aware of the situation. Thank you, Shawn

Speaking of fraud, have anyone been doubled and tripled charged using a Debit or Check card at a Dollar Tree Store. They are over charging and you can not reach anyone in the corporate office.

Same thing happened to me at work. I work as a cashier at a food store. Today, August 1st a older gentlemen bought a bunch of gift cards ammounting up to $300. When he handed me his check, it was declined not having a MICR. I then tried again, still declined. The "personal check" [which was about 2x the size of one] did not have perferations[sp?], a padlock, or even the feel of a check. Come on I could of made a better one myself. The routing numbers were in the middle of the check and the address said "Main Street Cambridge, Md 02319". It was VERY clear it was counterfeit. He even admitted "I get them printed off just for me". I simply said "Sorry sir, there appears to be a problem, its not a real check." I then called over my Manager [lets say shes a real pushover] just says "Im so so sorry" writes his phone number on the check and lets it slide.
