WE know to whom we are attracted; you don't' have to have sex to be gay or straight. Some kids mature more quickly than others; I certainly knew I was interested in other boys by the time puberty rolled around. There simply was no interest in females. Didn't you know which gender you were attracted to before having sex?

Being gay isnt' about social gender exclusivity; it is about attraction and desire. The desire kicks in with puberty; the attraction--emotional attraction--starts considerably earlier. Boys are encouraged to play with their own gender, as are girls. The difference concerns with gender a kid feels closer to emotionally.

We are talking about attraction, not socialization. There is a difference between friendship among individuals and attraction based on gender.

Fact: You can not turn anybody gay. They are or they're not. Also if you were to read beyond your biased interpertations you would also read that this is for 'questioning' youth too, which means they don't know what they are. They are questioning where they stand in the world. If you believe that everybody needs to stand a certain way you need to come out of the dark ages. People are different and they should have the right to chose who they are. I know by the age of 12 I was curious, about everything. I didn't know what I liked because I was kept from eveything. Thanks to programs like these I realize I was curious. Not gay, bi, or transgender. I figured out where I stand in my world and dang anybody who doesn't give others the chance to discover thiers!!

Of course it isn't, it's a U.S. Government funded project. Also it's for adolescents "as young as twelve", the rest would be teens, even the title of this thread is misleading.

Most boys are encouraged to roughhouse, most girls are given dolls and dressed in laces and bows. Plenty of Tomboys play with the guys and lots of little boys would rather play at more quiet games.

Still, it has no bearing on whether their adolescent attractions will be opposite or same gender directed.

What makes you think that sexual orientation has anything to do with sexual intercourse?

They know because they are. You don't because you are not them.
