Publix Reps Come To Town

We are so happy to hear Publix is coming soon, and were looking forward to doing all our grocery shopping there. we have e-mailed and e-mailed Publix to move up to north georgia or Chattanooga, we just wanted them to get near enough so we didnot have to shop at BiLo or Wal-Mart's. We live in Ft.Oglethorpe Ga and beleave me the places to grocery shop is few and none like Publix. I was born and raised in Plant City, Florida were the main Publix Warehouse is. So I will say if you have never shopped a Publix Supermarket you are in for a big big treat. I would like to know if they are going to also have a Crispers Restaurant like in Florida. Again we say thanks Publix for coming our way. God Bless from us all

Thank god Publix is coming to East Brainerd. We can't take another day of Bi-Lo with their low quality fresh foods.

I'm not familiar with Publix, but we sure need more variety. I usually shop at Wal-mart - except I don't like Walmart's meat. I shop for meat at Bi-Lo, but never buy produce at Bi-Lo because the quality is poor.
I'm thrilled we are getting a new supermarket that everyone is so excited about!!! Maybe I can make one trip and get everything I need!!! Can someone tell me a little more about Publix? What makes them special? Can't wait to shop at the East Brainerd store.

I live in Florida and Publix is one of the main stores. They are bright,clean and have a hugh selection of fruits, veges and bakery items. There cakes are the best. There are very few things if any that I don't like about Publix. We have a couple of other chain stores but I prefer Publix. We spend alot of time in East Ridge and can't wait to shop at the new store. No more FoodLion or Wallyworld groceries for this family.. When is it supposed to open?? You will be hooked the first visit..

I am a recent transplant from Orlando and was thrilled to hear that Publix is coming to Chattanooga. I went on their website to find out when/where and the following is an excert from their response.

"I am pleased to let you know that we do have two planned locations for the Chattanooga area. The first location is the former Winn Dixie, located at E. Brainerd Rd. and Hurricane Creek. We are still in the planning stages for this location; however, our projected opening date is September of this year. The second location is Hixson Pike Rd. and Cassandra Smith Rd. This store is also still in the planning stages and has a projected opening date of sometime in the 4th quarter of 2008. Please keep in mind that since these dates are projected, not confirmed, they are subject to change."

For those of you not familiar with Publix, you are in for a treat. Their fresh fruits/veggies section rivals a farmer's market and their seafood/meat section will make you estatic. And their bakery....you will see (and smell) for yourself. September can't get here fast enough.

Hate Publix...don't want one in Hixson...I love stepping out on my porch and seeing wildlife. Soon I will be looking at the back on a stupid Publix on Cassandra Smith. We have a Food Lion and Bi-Lo in walking distance, we don't need another grocery store on this corner!

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE PUBLIX MOVE INTO THE VACANT WINN-DIXIE LOCATION IN COLLEGEDALE.
THIS AREA IS GROWING VERY QUICKLY AND WE MISS THE CONVENIENCE OF A GROCERY STORE NEARBY.
I AM SURE PUBLIX WOULD GET A LOT OF BUSINESS AS MANY OF US DON'T WANT TO GO OVER NEAR THE INTERSTATE TRAFFIC TO SHOP AT BI-LO!

I am sorry you don't like the Publix location but once you shop there, you will be glad they are located so close to you. The quality of their fruits and vegetables as well as their meat and seafood departments will blow you away. I predict that once you shop at Publix, you will cease shopping at Bi-Lo and Food Lion.
