The PIP cosmetic surgery disaster was triggered, when a woman who had PIP breast implants contracted “Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma” and died. This happened in November 2010. The FDA issued this alert on January 26, 2011. The French government recommended on December 23, 2011 that women in France seek removal of these breast implants. There may be an estimated 500,000 woman with PIP implants today.

Sadly Susan Grieve died of ALCL on the 3rd of June. Her family will surely continue the fight against those responsible for manufacturing and using non surgical grade implants.
