I just cleaned out A friends grandmother, she was 103 yrs when she died. She has been dead about 15yrs. I found a small hutch with two glass doors, three shelves and three drawers below. It has a tag with Chattanooga Furniture Co. on it. I will dust it off and see what I can get for it.

this is for Scott. Your post said you have pictures. I would be very interested in seeing these pictures, but only if you wish to show me. My table has two leaves and like I said ten legs. I would love to see the hutch. This has been a quest of mine for many, many years. I have all new furniture over the years, but will never get rid of my dining room set. My daughter has requested to have it bequeathed to her since she was a child. I have three children, and this will be hers. She loves it and thinks it is the most beautiful she has seen. She has a degree in fine arts and knows what she likes. If My email address is [email protected] This might be easier than going to this website. If you want to chat re furniture please email me. I know this is a public website but please do not share my email address. Thanks.

I also have a table with 6 chairs, no leaf and a very large buffet with the Chattanooga Furniture Company sticker on it. I was told it was about1930's. I have never seen anything like it, we are currently thinking of selling it. We had it in storage for about 6 years (military family) and it needs work. The buffet just needs to be refinished but he table and a couple of chairs need to be reglued or something. Does anyone have pictures of their sets? the buffet has a door on each end with two drawers in the middle. The door on the right has a silver ware drawer inside and the one on the right just has a drawer.
Thank you.

I have an entire dining room set made by the Chattanooga Furniture Co. It consists of a beautiful table with ten legs, a large sideboard, and small hunt board, and six chairs. I know there was a display china hutch with the set but at the time i purchased it (in 1977) seller did not want to sell the china cabinet. I truly regret not talking her into selling it to me. I love my set and have never seen anything quite as beautiful. I cannot find anything regarding this company and I have been looking for quite some time. I have never seen a set like mine at all. I would love to be able to add the hutch to my set. I was a new bride in l977 and I was told the set was an antique then (cira. 1910 or so.) Good luck and please post if you ever find anything. Thanks, Carol

I did some more research and found out that Acme Kitchen Furniture Co. of Chattanooga bought Chattanogga Furniture. If you go to there website it has a catalogue number Sixty Six. If you look at the price list, you will see there furniture prices, that probaley was alot of money back then. I had an antique dealer lookat it, my chest need a little work and he was not interested. I think he was looking for something made of a better wood. If anyone want or know someone who want to purchase it contact me .

can any body tell me anything about chattanooga furniture co. that was there, i have an old buffet, it use to have a table and chairs. i have searched every where for info on it i cant find anything. any help would be appreciated. i live in oklahoma or i would go to the library there. thanks laurel [email protected]
Hi Laurel, I am happy to know I am not the only one looking for info about this co. I have been looking for 20 years and cannot find a single thing. I even contacted the Chatanooga Chamber of Commerce. They replied and told me they would definitely find something and get back to me. That was a year ago. Haven't heard anything. If anyone would know it would be them. Oh well, onward in my search! Good luck with yours. Are you looking to sell your sideboard? I am always interested in adding pieces to my set. I have an 8 leg table, sideboard huntboard and six chairs. My table also has two leaves so it accommodates an entire family at holidays. I love my dining room set. I am looking for the hutch that went with it. When I purchased my set in l980 that piece was not for sale. It was the only piece I really wanted at the time.

I am so happy that I am not the only person who owns this beautiful furniture. I am still looking for the glass front china cabinet that goes with my set. I will continue to look, as well as visit the antique shops in my area. There are hundreds in this area, Red Bank, NJ. FYI I went to a Broadway show two months ago and on the stage was a scene set in a dinning room and there was my sideboard. The exact same one that I own and is part of my set. My sideboard is large and the hunt board is an exact replica only smaller. My father told me it is called a hunt board is due to the fact that when the hunters came home from the hunt they were too sore to sit on a chair for their meals. Therefore, the sideboard held the food and they stood at the hunt board to eat.

I have the whole dining suite including the china cabinet. Interested?

I have a table with a puul out leaf on both ends, 6 chairs, a buffet and a hutch all made from Chattanooga Furniture Co. We believe it to be over 90 or 100 years old. We are trying to get some information on the value of it before we have it restored. If anyone can lead me to the right place I would appreciate it. It's very interesting and still in great shape. We are thinking of having it refinished. Please help!!! Thanks.

I just acquired my great grandparents' dining room set from Chatanooga Furniture Company: 5 ft table with three 12" leaves; 6 chairs (some with metal seats and legs connected with crossed wires with hooks; and 5-6' side board with two center drawers, doors on each side, and silver drawer behind door on right. Mirror hangs above side board, about 5' x 12", with flowers etched on each end, wooden strips divide mirror in 3 sections, and ornate design on top center, similar to ornate design on center back of side board. They lived in Arkansas since turn of century, moved there from Wyoming. Table has old tag from Chatanooga Furniture Company. In researching the company I ran across this site from a few years ago. Does anyone have pictures to share?

My wife saw a heavy Rocker in a 2nd Hand store for $40. She liked it, I didnt want it, we now own it. Took it home and took a look, on the bottom showed it was manufactured by Chattanooga Furniture Company. 1973. Completed Auctions on ebay and sold elwhere for $350.

I suppose they made or sold good Furniture.

I just sold a butterfly leaf table with the Chattanooga Furniture Company tag dated June 1889. I have photo's but do not know how to get them on here.

I just paid $5 for what I believe is the 4ft buffet. It definitely needs more than a little TLC, but I'm willing to atlas the repurpose this piece because of it's amazing bones.
