I wish we did work at a bar - I'd like to be the barmaid then I could fix drinks and deliver them and maybe get a tip or two. Or, if I worked the bar - hmm...I could hear all sorts of stories of a personal nature from all the drunks....then I could post them on a forum. Or, hmm...if I worked the bar I could drink all night! No, then I'd get fired.....hmm...if I worked at a bar, I'd probably make more money with a lot less stress!!! Hmm...maybe I'll update my resume and start job hunting.

Well, well kicked it in gear did you! You deserve a response, my sister! I remind you that I’m human and make plenty of mistakes so please point them out, I would like to be wrong about most of this.
Strait to a very dicey issue, Dr. Pancakes credentials. First, a few elementary points, the Navel Academy is in Annapolis Maryland, not Virginia and I believe has no medical school. As far as the young Dr. Pancake butchering the military veteran’s, soft touch indeed. However, recent national events regarding medical standards within the military may easily explain this, if indeed it occurred at all. But I’ll ask anyway; how do you know this?
Additionally, more finely tuned discrepancies surrounding this subject, a few examples; He was first licensed in the State of Virginia in 1985 and then in Tennessee in 1987. He said he was licensed in Tennessee in 1985, therefore what happened in those 2 years in Virginia? Did he attempt to cover up an issue, anybody? Pancake stated he held certification with the following boards; American Collage of Surgeons (ACS) this is an impossibility, the ACS is not a board, their just a great big doctors club with a proverbial big stick!!!!!!!!! American Board of Otolaryngology, yes an American Board and he held a general certificate from this Board. However, he never stated nor held a sub-specialty certificate from this American Board in Head and Neck Plastic Surgery, which is indeed offered. Next, He stated he held a board certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, this board never heard of Bruce D Pancake MD, oh yes-FACS. Some irony to lighten the load; if Bruce Pancake had achieved what he stated he achieved, he would have been triple boarded, Yes or No? Can you help me out here, just wondering? If one placed Dr. Pancakes professorial career on a “critical path” time line from graduation from UTK to achieving a true Triple Boarded Plastic Surgeon status what year may that achievement have occurred? It’s just a question I have, along with several more. I bet Dr. Bob could tell us? Side note; just as a matter of record his FACS membership is dated 2002.
Now for the ‘meat and potatoes” one more time; if you are pushing back with the notion Bruce Pancake received a sub-specialty certification in Plastic Surgery within the Head and Neck from The American Board of Otolaryngology it doesn’t exist? If somehow I missed that fact and he did legitimately earn a sub-specialty, from the only American Board he was ever certified by, then what credential, experience, or American Board ever provided Dr. Pancake with the expertise to solicit and perform breast implants, tummy tucks etc…. Additionally, he was ran out of every local hospital operating room over multiple mal-practice issues , opened, ran and supplied an illegal surgical facility, performed unethical/ immoral operations generating even more malpractice claims for over ten years, all this without any recourse or enforcement of laws, oaths, regulations, standards, policy, common sense (get the point) whatsoever from anyone and finally solves his own problem by killing himself! This occurred under the very noses of his fellow doctors, some of whom had already turned away the butchered Pancake patients, other state & local medical authorities, his employee’s, partner(s), venders, supposed close friends and family. Retort that, please and I’ll reconsider my current thought process.

Part two: I’m not the least surprised an employee embezzled monies from him, its par for the course and that’s not the only thief he employed. Most every person reporting to work at his building is/was cut from the very same cloth or character, call it what you will. He assembled this group of people, fostered them, taught them and led the way. To borrow from Dr. Bob, Beware of any of Dr. Pancake’s employees, medical venders or Partners!
I must retract an earlier statement; I indicated that Dr. Pancake started out fine and progressed downward. After recent consultation, I now believe he was incompetent from the beginning of his medical career.
In closing and out of courtesy: No thesaurus, but try to reference spell check out of common courtesy for other readers I’m not a good speller and thank you for the grammar correction. No, I’m not in love, with Susie. But I do like her attitude and would probably enjoy a friendship with her, if one did exist outside this blog. That should also address your alter-ego concern. Revengeful sort, blaming, not in the least, I’m interested in cleaning this disgusting mess up, I’m sick of it and it appears very few people even care. Reaching you said….it would be a short one without risk, I assure you of that fact. Next time you want go fishing bring the right bait!!!!!!!!!.
Two last items; Granted, you were right, plagiaristic retort, you did give me credit and I apologize. But you’ll still a very, very frustrated ‘Funny Feline” aren’t you?,
Just for you: Houston, preparing for throttle up, it may be a go!

Impacted, you are so wrong in so much that you say, and I am insane to react! But, anyway, just to let you know - I glanced at your response, but I still haven't really read your stuff thoroughly - not interested anymore. I do know Dr. Pancake had been a good doctor for very many years - and like I said before, I don't really know what happened to him the last few years - so, it's done. If he was negligent - he should be held accountable whether in death or not - but, lies and guessing games are not necessary at this point - rather odd of you, I must say, and really weird. And, to be honest, I'm kind of sick of the barbs being thrown back and forth on a personal nature - also rather childish and useless. So, on that note - I hope you have a good evening. Yes, I'm still at work and going nuts!!!!!!!!!! It's been nice chatting with you.

It appears the civil proceedings against the Pancake estate are moving right along, no legal mountain there, just a straightforward civil process with multiple plaintiffs. However, I strongly caution the plaintiffs on a couple of issues; first, do not sign any documents limiting their future legal rights in this matter in anyway. Secondly, should any of the plaintiffs decide to pursue other entities for liabilities in this matter, think long and hard about the proper counsel, local counsel may not be the right move, politically speaking? I do believe there are others liable in this mess!
Below find the name of the individual listed has the local “Councilor” of the American Collage of Surgeons or ACS. Chattanooga has about 75
FAC(s) practicing doctors: Pay special attention to the Erlanger email address; Hummmmm…Did Pancake have surgery privileges at Erlanger Hospital? Do you think this particular doctor, along with her other "Fellows" in the ACS knew he lost privileges to perform surgery at Erlanger for past malpractice issues?
Councilor, Ms. Lisa Smith, MD, FACS, University Surgical Associates, Specialty: Pediatric Surgery, B400, 979 E 3rd St, Chattanooga, TN 37405, [email protected]
I want any interested party to take 5 minutes and go to: http://health.state.tn.us/licensure/index.htm
Pretend you have a sick child, this doctor was recommended and you want to know if she is Board certified in pediatric surgery?

Both good and bad news, the Athletic Club closed signifying the end for “Pancake’s House of Pain in Plastics” which began on Gunbarrel Road over ten years ago. No more of the “infected” spreading their diseases throughout the community, right?

These morally deficient cave dwellers were cut from only two pieces of fabric. First,“The Enabled” and secondly,“The Enablers” of Pancake, each will now find the appropriate rock to slither under. This sleazy sashay began the moment the door to his office was kicked opened to find him dead. Essentially two issues of interest for anyone who cares; first, the cash-flow of this operation would not satisfy the ambient greed level that existed around it. Therefore it was supplemented, over the years, by monies generated from his labors in the back office; a commission was paid for any fresh “BEEF” coming from the health Club side of the business to the Plastics side this was by design. Can you imagine a better “hook” for an illegal plastic surgery operation then tapping the “want-a-be beautiful” this particular health club attracted? It wasn’t exactly the YMCA, was it! Can’t you see the curly bleached lochs with shiny French nails, big sunglasses, a lot of time on their hands, in the latest fashions of spandex all of whom were invited by the very gorgeous Ms. Tennessee herself to enjoy the pleasures the Phoenix had to offer!(1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 looking good now babe, how’s about a little nip and tuck in the back office for that little bit of tummy fat caused by junior’s arrival? Hummmmm yes Junior did this. Don’t get mad at me over this comment; the stupid bastard put his very own daughter on the frontline of his fraud) It worked quite-well and business was brisk! However, the greed level expanded, requiring the addition of a new untaxed revenue stream; illegal steroids sells was then formalized. It was brilliant move and went “hand-in-hand” with the very thirsty and impatience “beauties” who already patronized his establishment. All that had to be done was a supplier and salesman; this was accomplished by the hiring of a local health club “Monkey” This person was already well connected in the trade and had sold/consumed more steroids around Chattanooga area, then Carter has pills for over a 20 year time period, a common drug dealer, if you will.(side note; there is no hiding the yellow in the white’s of ones eye, the patterned baldness, the overgrowth of body hair (if not shaved) or waxy skin resulting from the long term use of steroids which causes jaundice in the liver over time. However, the sun tan bed works wonders for the yellowing of the skin tone, now doesn’t it? Pay attention people, I’m not making this s...t up!) It was a smart marketing move depending on ones position in the matter. Now, when any potential victim could not afford to finance Dr. Pancake’s efforts, a much lower price point was available with the promise of desirable physical results!

Secondly, separation from the horrible acts committed and subsequent shame is central to their continued survival in our community. They do not want to be associated with the legacy of Pancake any longer; he’s only to blame now, once a brilliant mind and now the stories only villain. There are simply too many people asking too many questions and the intense bright light spawned from his suicide.

The only change here is the venue and sophistication it will occur again.

Fit U, a new fitness center at 7540 East Brainerd Road, will celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting on Feb. 22. The festivities, which are being arranged by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, will start at 10 a.m.

Fit U is owned by Darin Johnson, who has over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry in the Chattanooga area. He has over 40 body-building titles, including state and national honors. Mr. Johnson formerly owned Elite Fitness and The Athletic Club.

“Staying in shape has kept me young and full of energy,” Mr. Johnson said.“Working out is the only fountain of youth out there. You can tuck it, pull it, lift it and cut it, but it always comes back to a good workout routine.”

Mr. Johnson said he operates a fitness program that offers individual attention to each client. The name Fit U means that the workout program fits “you,” the customer, Mr. Johnson said.

Fit U is open Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mr. Johnson has three employees.
