A bear has also been seen between Snow Hill Road and Ooltewah-Georgetown Road by people in our subdivision.
Two boys out canoeing saw it from about 30 feet away last week. They said it was a black bear. Some other neighbors have seen it across the water from their house.
I was out kayaking the other day and thought I heard the traditional bear 'cough', repeatedly, but dismissed it as improbable. Not so 'improbable' after all!
