The clips he shows kind of balances out the reports from the other news outlets that think he is God. Tunnel vision must be contagious. Hey, wonder if kids wrote the president asking him to do something about the massive debt he was leaving them…..would they get on TV?

How about linking those "reports" that "….think he is God". I've never seen one. No doubt there are those who strongly support the President, but this "god" worshiping accusation is just silly. Kids who write the President about the national debt ought to get on TV. How about you getting some kids to do just that. I'd love to see it. BTW Stewart did call the President out for the staged op w/the kids.
Nevertheless, your claims/opinions do nothing to diminish the downright hilarious and spot on depiction of the over zealous, so called, "2nd amendment defenders" who are under the delusion, again/still, that there is any threat, whatsoever, to the 2nd or that Obama is acting like a tyrant or king.
BTW polls show that a majority of Americans support stricter gun laws. Tyranny in action…I guess.

Those that think he is God. Where do I start? He can do no wrong in their eyes. They strongly support and do not report actions or inactions that would cast him in a bad light. A man that could not obtain a security clearance for a federal job is in charge of the federal government. As for gun control, I don’t understand the thinking that criminals will obey gun laws. Only law abiding citizens will and they will at more risk for it. For me, I just want to have the same or more fire power than the one that might try to do me harm.

Just a couple of words on the God worshiping thingy….way yonder over the top. It's nonsense.

I have seen or heard absolutely nothing and no-one who claims to think that "criminals will obey gun laws". That is a false accusation. Want all the firepower that your heart desires, but don't clothe that desire in the guise of protecting the 2nd amendment (if you do). Hey how about we just arm and train all the kids in the proper use of firearms then they wouldn't have to wait for the security guard to show up. They could just blast away. I'm for trying things that may help.

I never said he was taking them. He can't. But you are naive if you believe he would not like that.

If folks that are for more regulation don't think that criminals will obey gun laws then what is the point of their position? Do they think it will make it harder for a crazed person to obtain a weapon? I want things that help also. But making it more difficult for law abiding citizens to obtain arms and putting more restrictions on the type arms is not the answer. The areas of the country with the most gun restrictions have the highest rates of gun violence. But you know that.

What I think is that it's part of the answer.

Someone made the observation that if more guns help then why hasn't the tens (hundreds?) of millions that are out there already in the hands of law abiding citizens done anything to curb the wave gun violence. More guns per capita than anywhere else on the planet and more gun violence than anywhere else on the planet too. All those guns don't seem to be working too well. There is a reason that it's called "gun violence".

And where is the majority of that “gun violence” committed? In areas of the country where there are the most gun restrictions. And what areas of the country have the lowest crime rates? Those with the least amount of gun restrictions.

Causal, correlation or coincidence? Can you show that it's because there are stricter gun laws in large metropolitan areas that gun violence is higher and can you show that there is less gun violence in rural areas with fewer restrictions that it's because of fewer restrictions. I think that it may be more complex than that.

At any rate I do not think that stricter gun laws are a panacea, far from it. I do think that it can be part of a more comprehensive approach to an issue that the country seems to not have a handle on. The innocent kids need all the help they can get. And if it means that you can't buy a clip that holds more than ten bullets then so be it. I have no sympathy for the gun owner that has to abide by that rule. You want more protection than that then put more resources into effective law enforcement and mental health, among other things. And way more resources in early childhood education, which should include mental health.

The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with protecting yourself from ciminals or hunting. Protecting oneself and the Country from an abusive Government is the purpose of the 2nd amendment. Having personal protection is an added benifit of the amendment and innocent people being killed by guns is a detraction of the amendment.
We currently live in a free society and because we are free we cannot control all the actions of every person in the Country.
Free speech has probably killed more people than guns ever will or caused more people to be killed by guns.
These current porposals are mostly already covered by current law or are unenforceable and won't help one wizz to curb violence or save lives. They are just an effort to seize control over time.
300 million guns or more are already out there and the only way to do anything meaningful about them is to consficate them and that is the ulimate goal of the left.
It's pretty simple a person is not going to attack another person as quickly if they know that person is armed. It's not really that complex. The President has armed guards, the Bank has armed guards, most celebrities and politicians have armed guards, there are armed guards at the football game, Cops, deputies,State Patrol and GBI have guns, why can't a school have armed guards?

I believe that Obama is correct and so does the NRA that more deeply involved background checks should be taken. I also believe that assault weapon 30 round clips should be banned but I don't believe that this would be any good when it comes right down to it. There will always be some nut case that wants to kill a lot of people for some unforseen reason. I think Obama must try to please all Americans which is impossible so he must at least try to appease all people. You see he is a President for ALL THE PEOPLE and not JUST THE RICH AND POWERFUL. Some eggheads are even saying that the kid killings didn't even happen. Talk about nutcases! and these are the right wingers that hate and distort facts. Anything Obama does is wrong....just like Congress!

Yes he is your President too. He just don't believe the same right wing redoric you doo. When you win an election then you can get representation the way you like it. You know, the way George Bush did with two wars and wall street bailouts for the rich. Ane the economy went south too.

Like I said he doesn't speak for me and I don't recognize him as "my" President. He is your President so take him away please. It is probably hard for him to walk with your head up his ass.
