Yesterday I heard that the entire offensive coaching staff "resigned" with the exception of Coach Ross.

Today I heard the new offensive coordinator is Bill Napier.

Has anyone else heard these things?

THe only ones that are for sure stepping down as of now is Roger Rainey, Hugh Swilling, and Keith Swilling. Personally, I'm glad. I believe Bill Napier has more heart and will put more effort into the team and these boys. The other three were just there because there was no one else to take the spot at the time and they could not hire from outside the system because of the hiring freeze. That's not fair to the team, or the head coach who takes all the critisism but at the time there was no other choice. I think Coach C is a great coach with a lot of heart and passion for football and his team. With the right assistants, and support, it will show next year.

Why don't they make Bill the Head Coach? Murray should have never ran off a fine Coach and person like Bill. He would be idea for the Head Coaching job and Coach C could learn some things from him.

They should have hired Lou Holtz when they had the chance.

you guys amaze me.....what are you like 2 years old? Lou Holtz? Cleotis McNasty? How stupid can you possibly be? Retarded people. Coach C is and will be an awesome head coach for North Murray. We just got rid of the political party and now we can build a winning program. Go Neers and lets see what the record brings next year.

Cleotis acts 2, 3 at the most. That don't give you the right to pick on him because he's stupid. He can't help it!

Which is kind of sad, all 3 of them are great coaches.

Great coaches? No. Average coaches. Maybe. Coaches with no desire or heart for the team. Yes.

I am glad there are so many people out there who know so much about coaching and football that you are all going to be applying for these positions. It is sad and pitiful that all most of you can do is criticize. I do not see any of you out there spending many thankless hours away from your family to work with those boys. They sure were not out there for the money!! So when the season rolls back around which will be about March, I expect to see you out there showing us what you got besides a critical mouth. It might give you a new outlook on things. Maybe if all you critical people would start being positive, you might see these hard working players gain some enthusiasm. How can they be enthusiastic and have the desire to win when all they hear is criticism about the coaching staff and their playing. If you do not think your criticism has an impact, you need to think again. SO you need to know what you are talking about before you start running your mouth or be prepared to show us what you got and apply for the jobs. You should do as your parents SHOULD have taught you, if you do not have something nice to say keep your BIG MOUTHS closed!!

I see no criticism? It is true some of the assistant coaches were only out there because there was no one else to fill the spots. So if you are only out there for that reason, you do not have the desire and passion to win like a coach that truly wants to be there. Sorry if you don't like to hear that, but it's all truth.

Fact is NM is gonna lose 3 knowledgeable coaches who offer alot to football and are good role models. Bill Napier coming to NM is still rumor. However, he would be a trememdous addition to any team. If you want somebody to coach QBs and RBs the right way this is your guy. Not to take anything away from H.Swilling.I think he would agree also. I think the other coaches to a fine job. Off.and Def. line looked great as well as the LBs. Can't wait til next year.

You can thank Marty and Carla Banks for his departure from Murray football.Their kid couldnt play and so they used connections and intimidation to the school board and forced his departure..
Then took their kid out of Murray schools because they knew the next coach wasnt going to play him either...moved the kid over to Dalton, where he never started a single game...sad.

Bill Napier should have been the FIRST choice for Athletic director at N.Murray instead of Josh Lowe(who?..)
How much longer till they get rid of Josh Lowe(who?)
