As a supporter of Ms Pittman I am concerned over a issue I was advised of. In a previous topix posting Brittany advised anyone who had a question or concern to call her directly. I know of county employees who have concerns and tried to call her to set up a meeting to advise her of their concerns. They could not leave a message on her home phone. They then sent a letter to her and never heard back. This was at least two weeks ago. I am sorry to hear that Brittany never responed to these county employees.

Give me a break! You supported her and probably knew her and what you were going to get. She's only been officially commissioner for a few days and you are bitching on here already. I didn't support her and I am going to at least give her a chance. If supporter(s) are griping already...she is in for a long 4 years.

You need to learn how to read. I stated these employees wrote to her AT LEAST TWO WEEKS AGO to speak to her before she actually took office so she would have the time to meet with them. This is not "bitching" ( your words)(low life) but stating a fact of concern. Grow up.

You need to understand what you wrote. Why would Brittany care about these "concerns" when she hadn't even started a job that she was already getting a large pay cut to begin? I can't blame her for not responding. Kiss My a**!

Is it possible she was too busy with preparations to take office to respond immediately? Or perhaps she thought it would be inappropriate for her to respond while her predecessor was still in office? And is it possible that she's still settling in and will get to those employees as soon as she's able?

I don't know, I'm just tossing out possibilities.

They don't need to be meeting with her. What do they want? You can bet it is more pay less work and to gripe and complain poor poor pitiful me.
All public employees do is complain. If you ever want someone to talk to call one of them up and ask them how things are going. This include the Sheriff's Dept. They won't be happy with Lankford more than 2 week and maybe less.

She was probably just busy, that's a big job to do. I'm sure she will do just fine. If not, then vote against her.

If a leader is goi.g to put out there to contact her with concerns...then make time to respond to them. No person is to bust to dedicate 1 hour to respond to each person. Now you will not get them all in one day put dedicate easch day one hour and each will get a responce at sone point. This nation needs true leadrship at all levels.

I'm guessing that there is about 400 county employees. If each of them were to meet with the commissioner for an hour then it would tie her up for the next 10 weeks straight. I'm sure that your problems will be addressed but give adequate time. Remember the citizens come first.

employees are citizens and taxpayers you need to think before you speak and a majority of the county employees is why she has this title

I simply said that the citizens come first. You should think before you speak.

Why ask more of this person before she even sits down ,than you have anyone else in 8 years?God cannot even satisfy all of the people in Murray county,so Brittany don't even attempt it or you will be making a big mistake.Just try to do what you think is right and if the people don't like it they can always vote you out.

They have thought of these possibilities and though she would respond with the reason for not meeting with them. Time will tell.

You really do not have a clue. Also our new sheriff's name is Gary Langford not Lankford.

Obviously she does care as she had already been to this dept after the election to see what changes could be made to better the department. You are clueless
