City of Chatsworth Police Dept.
Who are the officers and are they fair? I have been told that one would ticket and lock up his own mother?????
From the stories I've been told, I am afraid to go inside the city limits!

U better believe it. They act like they rule the whole state! Making up rules as they go. I hope one of the city police officers starts respecting citizens. Or he could find his self out of a job.( if u want to call what they do work.) getting paid does not mean there's work involded.

Every time I go to Ingles, there is one policeman that has someone pulled over EVERY time! I think he may OWN that stretch of road!! Or at least he thinks he does. One day it was a gray haired lady with a cane!!! I felt so sorry for her. I guess that is one more reason I will start going to Dalton for groceries and things...to stay away from the Barney Fife's around here!

Or it could be theres a lot of violations on that road, There's a lot of walkers and joggers thru there and the speed limit is 35, cars come by at 15-20 over the limit all the time, Maybe someday someone will take the hint that those signs on the side of the road are not suggestions, some people just don't get it. And by the way the little gray haired lady can kill you with her driving just as quick as a 16 year old can

I sent my son to ingles for light bulbs one night along with my twelve year old nephew and my son got pulled over, made to get out of the truck while they searched him and the vehicle, scared him to death. They said he got pulled over for a light being out.The light was a cargo light on the back window to light up the truck bed and my son was so scared he didnt tell them you had to push a button inside the truck and it would come on.Surely the cops knew that a cargo light doesn't stay on all the time.

I had an experience with the Chatsworth Police Department recently and was very impressed with the officers (yes more than one) I thought they would be rude but they were very kind and respectful.

The states are worse I heard there were three north murray kids pulled over a couple of weeks ago the driver who is a junior and a athlete was going 15 miles over the speed limit, with a fake ID and his step mom brought a drug test to the place where they were pulled over and he failed it but was not charged with anything. Apparently the kids dad lifts weights with the state trooper. I hope the state trooper is there when something ad happens.

I heard the same thing two of the boys passed their test but the driver did not. I think they call that system the good old boys.

first of all unless ur child was involved, u wouldn't know what happened on the traffic stop. Second, a drug test bought at the store and given by mom on the side of the road is not admissisable in court. Third, did he let the boy drive off, I bet not. And my fourth observation is, I bet the second mom didn't give her drug test on the side off the road and no one really knows how it turned out except what she and her boys say.

You don't have to agree to a vehicle search. They only have the right to search your vehicle if they have probable cause (i.e. seeing drugs, guns, etc.), you run, you fight, you are arrested, etc. You have the right to not consent to a search. Denial of consent does not equal probable cause. This is the law. They have to abide by it as much as you.

my friend works for the city police and I think the job they do is important and if your in trouble don't call them and see how far you get,we pay them to do a job and if you do everything right in your job,i don't think so, so stop throwing stones at guys who you pay to keep your butts safe.

YES SAFE!!!!Ithought we talking about the city police of chatsworth, I am not saying everyone of them are perfect, do you like everyone you work with, no one's perfect, but i would rather have them there then not, if they have to serch a vehicle to do there job then, and have reasonable doubt, let them search, i bet your the first to ask the politians and the police to clean up our county and city, but also the first to complain when they do it..

I know someone who was pulled over by one City Police who stalks the road at Ingles. They went through a caution light and was stopped.'Said police' gave this person a breathalyzer and they blew a zero. At that point the officer wanted to search the car and was told 'no'...he proceeded to search the car anyway. Is that not a violation of their rights? There was no guns, drugs or any reason for him to ask for the search. It was not even their car anyway. They were using the car with permission from the owner.

No,dumbass,it was the light above the back glass of the truck window.Brake lights worked fine. They just used that as a bullshit reason to tell him as to why he got pulled over in the first place.
