Why would anyone convert to Johnny Robertson’s Church of Christ when approached in an insulting way?

The reason, I believe, is fairly simple: those potential converts are used to being treated with abuse of various forms. The only people attracted to Johnny’s kind of religion are those who find the rudeness and abuse normal. Those who convert to Johnny’s Church of Christ are those who are still looking for more scraps of love and attention from someone who reminds them of their shaming parents.

Typical traits of members of Johnny Robertson’s Church of Christ: Authoritarian; Dependence on others for decisions; Lonely; Play the role of a competent person; Fear of rejection; Hide their real self and real emotions; Anger issues; Shame; Low self-esteem.

Johnny may have suffered abuse or rejection as a small child. His character gives hints that he may have had a troubled life as a Child. This, too, would explain his hunger for control and power. It’s typical of those who have been abused to seek control and power. In this, Johnny finds fulfillment instead of rejection he may have suffered as a child. When he wins a convert it’s like the inner child getting even with the abuser.

It's not Johnny's church and he would be the first to say that. It's Christ's Church. So , you don't like Johnny's delivery of the message? OK. Nevertheless , is what he said false? In your opinion rude? OK.

Johnny needs to talk about Christ and less about Johnny.

Mark and Micah were demanding last night that Christians must assemble together to be faithful and counted as real Christians.

Where in scripture does it say that Christians have to come together and listen to one man?

Why do Johnny, Micah, James and Mark get to be the only ones who speak to people at the Churches of Christ in Martinsville and Danville and nobody else gets to speak?

Looks like a cult to me. A cult where most of the people have to listen to a very small group of people.

surly you have seen in the bible the group of believers assembled for both fellowship and worship.

In the Bible, one family did not control the worship at 3 different churches.

Nope in the bible the control first started with the head of families, then the priest then the elders, and now days (not according to scripture) either a man pope or a vote of people or a single pastor which are all wrong.

The NT word for Elder and Priest are etymologically the same but a Greek scholar like you would know that. Maybe I could call one of your Elders but I hear you don't have any. Of course yours wouldn't be valid even if you had some.

If JR doesnt allow elders he is wrong, and against biblical teaching.

Mark "potty mouth "Eden or any Catholic for that matter doesn't have any room to talk about prot elders with priests and bishops like they have. Their indiscretions are overlooked by Catholics because they have been brainwashed into thinking they are the only saved people. Anything goes with this bunch as long as you say you are Catholic. I feel sorry for the altar boys, most probably can't escape the Catholic priests and bishops.
