Paterson calls for action on deficit, gay marriage

Gov. David Paterson has urged lawmakers to use their power to tackle the state's $3.2 billion budget deficit and give final approval to a same-sex marriage bill when they convene in a special session Tuesday.

I still say that when it comes to issues like gay marriage, projects such as rebuilding the waterfront, new bus terminals etc. LET PEOPLE VOTE. Give the voters the information via, flyers, websites, TV news, the newspapers and put the vote to the public. That way the majority rules and there is "no special interests' involved. Almost sounds to simple.

Keep your ideas about gay marriage in your state. They don't want in
California anymore than most New Yorker's want it here. It is not a
natural union. You sure don't find it in the Animal world. Mother
Nature is not wrong, you are all of the gay's in America. Move to a

Not this again. I though everyone established this. What it says under the name doesn't reflect where people are anymore. I live in New York north of Rochester.
