To those of you who would like to comment on Phillip Depasquale, and make assumptions about what you think you know, let me clarify a couple of points in the article...first and foremost, the fact that this article is claiming that this happened last month is completely false...this is stemming from something that happened last year, second I know him and his girlfriend (who is very much still with him) and he never stole anything from her or their child and to claim that he did is absolutely out of line, that baby and his girlfriend are his life...there are no witnesses to him doing anything wrong because him and his family were visiting extended family in New jersey when this happened and he has witnesses that are coming up here to testify to that...this man is being treated like he did something wrong because of a past that he has very much put behind him...they are trying to punish him for things that he did when he was younger and has already paid society for...just because he lived in the neighborhood and has a criminal record DOES NOT mean he did it...Innocent until proven gulity ...so until you know him and know the full and true story keep you opinions to yourselves because we all have things in our past that we have to overcome...

Your statement is close; but it is not quite right. And, there is no point in misleading the public. So, to make sure that you really tell it like it is, try this:

"If you are not a cop and you break the law, the Fitchburg PD will arrest you. However, if you are a Fitchburg cop and you break the law; nothing whatsoever will happen to you."

Your statement just lumped everyone in together. You forgot about the double standard system, that is practiced not only in Fitchburg, but pretty much in every town and city in our nation.
