Longrie says 'not as a personal reflection on her work.'

Those rose-colored glasses complement her usual fashion flare.

Okay, I meant 'fashion flair'. But flare does work pretty good

Let the fun begin.

How appropriate, your faux pas, Popcorn Vendor. I can hardly wait to see some of the flameouts to come.

Will Hafner implode so far as to turn into a black hole? Will dear 'Becca bring back some of those witty insights she provided to our fair city in her past council life? Or did Queen Diana invite her back onto her flairful coattails? And how is John W going to succeed with his plans for secession when he works for those he is seceding from? Perhaps he will be seceding early from the race.

This promises to be the most fun we've had in a city election, quite possibly for all time.

Stay tuned!

Hafner used to be one of Longrie's pets. I wonder what she did to push him into joining up with Smart against her?

Indeed, it appears from the candidate list that Longrie's previous coalition of crazies has split up and turned against itself.

Well the employees union has purchased Llanas and Rossbach in this election cycle.

After they purchased Nephew last election, they got a retroactive pay increase for work that was already done.

Wonder what they are going to get if they successfully purchase two seats for Llanas and Rossbach.

Too bad most of Maplewood residents are clueless as to what is going on.

I'd be careful throwing around words like 'clueless' if I were you.

WILL Hafner. I like it. Is this an omen of things to come?

So "our current mayor" doesn't know how to run a meeting?

If you want a real education on how to run a meeting, check out Will Rossbach's Smoke Task Force meetings...

And the flameouts continue!!

No doubt it was an accident.
Someone out there was willing to go to the legislature for $2,5 million to buy Mr. Libby's land and adjoining parcels (not for conservation, but a new shiny development).
It is not about Jay Libby but those in city politics like John Nephew, Peter Fischer, Ron Cockreil and Will Rossbach working with the likes of Leon Lillie to pull off this scam.
When Mr. Libby won the lottery he perhaps had a life review and decide to conserve the land himself -- rather than sell it to "Maplewood." Good for Mr. Libby!! Unfortunately his thoughtfulness directly or indirectly did him in.
This is the angle that needs investigation -- not the murder -- but the attempts at misappropriation of state funds. That investigation will be fruitful and show Maplewood the true cloth of their politicians!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Scorpio

Your thoughts turn to the past today, putting you in a nostalgic mood. You're awash with sentimental tears as you dwell on days gone by or gaze at photos of people you'll never see again. However, try not to let this mood of reminiscence turn into a tendency to feel sorry for yourself and therefore to demand special treatment from others.
