Im a flagger and have worked in Carver County last year, I felt unsafe at times flagging there how people would not even look at signs and talk back at me and just keep on going, even if I had the sign on STOP.I have been hit myself but no injurys by a old lady driver. I had to jump on her car hood and jump off to get away from her. There isent anough law's to protect us and not anough caps out there to be there all the time.
I feel bad for the family Im so sorry you have to go through this.

This is a grim reminder of how quick things happen. Maybe the next time we pick up that cell call, text our buddies on the commute home, squint as we drive into the sun, or even go to the next song on our Ipod, we will stop and remember that this man was part of someone's family. While protecting himself and his co-workers, he was also protecting the interests of all the brothers, sisters, moms and dads, uncles and aunts, everyone that passed him EVERYDAY. We all go thru the routine of seeing the people out there working everyday and never give it a second thought. On more than one occasion, whether it was on the farm, the road, or the driveway, "we always need to be safe" was mentioned to me from my mentoring uncle. I will do my best everyday.

He was my brother and now my family and his miss him deeply, please slow down and respect these individuals that are just out there doing their job and trying to make the roads safer. Please make them safer by slowing down. When you drive make that your top priority - not the cell phone, not the cup of coffee, driving and driving alone should have your undivided attention - think about it what if your dentist or doctor was distracted for a split second and injured you - this is a devastating accident for everyone - I hope it never happens to anyone ... no matter which side of the coin you are on everyone looses when an accident like this occurs.
