<quoted text>So, i will take that as a "NO", that you do NOT support having to buy car insurance. As i said, i am an independent moderate, who hates far left and far right equally! I am not that much on Obama, except for 2 things: the repealing of "don't ask don't tell" and at least attempting to reform health care, which we need, even though Obamacare is a giant clusterf***!! Even though i voted for Obama, i was going for McCain till he put nitwit Palin on the ballot..so i went for Obama, the "lesser of 2 evils." Also...the word "socialist" has become such a buzzword it has no meaning anymore...actually, many European countries that ARE Socialist, like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, etc., are happy, prosperous and free (in some ways, more free than we are). I don;t think we should have to but electric cars, but with fossil fuels already past peak and with our buying of them supporting Middle Eastern regimes, electric cars or hybrids might be unavoidable soon...and Obama was not the first to bail out the auto industry (no banks); Bush 43 was and much of the collapse of the auto industry was due to its own incompetence! Even with domestic production of oil having increased 11% under Obama, we still use so much of it that very soon we will have no choice but to seek alternative energy sources: electric, wind, solar, etc. Just my opinion....
And you make some valid points. However, The United States of American IS NOT and NEVER will be a socialist country. No matter what obama bin lyin (the great teleprompter) tries to do. There are way too many war vets to allow that to happen with impunity. The 2012 election will take care of itself, just like the "shelacking" the dims took in 2010. I am NOT far right person but like the majority of Americans, am center right. I guess I just am incensed by the social experiment gone horribly awry. Not because his highness is mulatto. There are many well qualified blacks able to run this country, just not this one. Alternative energy is the way of the future. Right now it's expensive, unreliable and further research needs done on it. But in case you haven't noticed, we are in a recession heading for ANOTHER recession and we just can't afford to invest our treasure(what's left of it) into it right now. Until it becomes more mainstream, we have to dance with "who brung us". What's your electric bill now? Go buy a chevy volt for $50,000 or so and charge it for 8 hours EVERY DAY and see what his highness meant by "skyrocketing" electric rates.

I agree with some of your points. I too am not a great fan of Obama, nor did i like Bush 43. I thought Clinton was a pretty good president though he was kinda like an overgrown fratboy in his personal life. I DID like Bush 41 and think he was one of the most UNDERrated presidents of the late 20th century century, but did not like Reagan AT ALL!!! I thought (and still do think) that Carter was a very very very good man, but just a lousy presdient. So, i don't put much in the whole "party loyalty" crap. And as i said, i hate far left and far right equally...i DESPISE the whiny, politically correct, anti-tobacco, anti-gun, anti-death penalty, illegal alien supporting left wing demotards AND the loudmouthed, fact-challenged, big polluter-funded, big Insurance-funded, evangelical-butt-kissing, right wing republitards equally!! I go by issues, not party, and though it is a long time till next election, as of now i kinda like Romney, and i think the Tea Party is losing some steam and may not be a major factor in '12. Just my opinion...

Just tell me where I said something that was wrong. I hate political correctness and therefore I call a spade a spade and not a shovel. The wishy washy spineless perillio voted to pass the illegal heathcare fiaco, against public opinion and was kicked out on his azz. Same thing will happen in 2012. You must be a postal employee or some other Government leech if your health care wasn't affected negatively.
You're right, I'm a government leech, I'm a war era veteran.
You're juvenile name calling, and your vitriolic irrational tone is one that alienates the middle from you type of people. Do conservatives, and libertarians a favor and support the other guy because you alienate the voting class of the middle that we need to get this country into shape.

If most americans are center right, then why is it that half don't pay income tax, and Obama got elected? The majority of this country is either center right or center left. We get stuck on wedge social issues that IMO the government has no business in. We need a true fiscal conservative, and unfortunately, true fiscal conservatives don't get elected.
This bill is not a win for the Tea Party, it's a political win for the Republicans and the Democrats. We're increasing our budget 8 Billion instead of 10 billion, and we increased the debt ceiling. This is not a win for the American People. There has to be a compromise. Revenues have to be increased, corporate taxes have to be lower, while at the same time the corporate loopholes need to be closed.(the tax rate is 0-35%.) All this while spendind MUST be cut, across the board for all federal pet projects, for th social liberals (democrats) and social conservative (repubicans) alike. That means Medicare, Medicade, Military, etc. On top of the the tax base needs to be increased to include the lower earners. FTAs, have to end, there's a reason that manufacturing is taking a beating in this country, and that's because it's cheaper to employ 10 Chineese than it is to employ 1 American.
.
I do my best to buy American, not because it's the best or because it's the cheapest (God knows it isn't) but because it is my civic duty as a Patriot of this country.
.
Now when you take such a vitrolic stance, and you start name calling and saying stupid stuff like "America isn't socialist" you instantly alienate the center. You are, I can gather despite what you believe, are further right than the middle, due to your anger. Should you be angry? Oh yes you should, should you act like a grown up? Yes, you should.
.
FWIW, you're right the U.S. isn't socialist as a general principle or a political system, it's a representational democracy, but its market and many of its programs are. Pubilc education, firemen, policemen, and the miliitary are all social programs. Public roads that help our economy is a social program. Farming subsidies that help our country remain a world leader in food production, not to mention, feeds hundreds of millions of people worldwide is a social program. Virginia Tech, and UVA football, are social programs.

You cover many topics in your vitrol speech, but you offer no solutions. You only want to blame someone.(Might I point out that it is the House's job to present a budget, per the Constitution and that the President only authorizes spending, but that spending must be authorized by Congress first.) You sound like our CIC who wants to blame Bush for everything, when in fact, it's not just Bush, it took all of us to screw this one up.
.
The Tea Party has been compromised by social conservatives, it is time for those in the Tea Party to put the social wedge issues aside, or move to the real party of fiscal conservatism, the Libertarian Party.
.
another suggestion I have is that you stop watching editorial news such as Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and start reading your news (even if it's on FoxNews.com , or WSJ.com ) because they're not in the business to "report" the news, their business it to sell advertising. Also watchout for pieces that start with "editorial." Most news is that is reported is AP. CNN links you to local news, which also is reporting journalism, not editorial.

Feel better now? I'm not the only one that's fed slam up with the political crap that's going on. If you voted for the great teleprompter in '08 just to prove you aren't a racist, consider someone else in '12 to prove you aren't an idiot. The lame stream media can't be trusted any more than the lying dude in the WH. But go ahead and berate me if you will, BTW, you aren't the only disabled vet in the world. Have a nice and clueless day.

I didn't vote for the current CIC, don't plan on voting for him in the next, unless Bachmann wins the primary, but I'm guessing it's going to be Mr. Universal Health Care for Massachusetts Mitt. Paul will probably get my vote. But that doesn't matter, I could tell you I'm voting for Marvin the Martin and you wouldn't know the truth.
.
All I know is that you are not being reasonable and are part of the reason that the Tea Party is getting the radical right treatment. I suggest that if you're a grown up, act like one, if you're not, shut up until you're old enough to vote.

I fought communists at a young age in SE Asia. I don't plan to sit idly by and watch them finish ruining this great country. I have no use for radicals of any ilk but in case you haven't noticed, the DOW IS DOWN 1,000 POINTS IN 1 WEEK. The fruition of the GREAT TELEPROMPTER'S plan for destruction of the American economy is at hand. No friggin way he's done this UNINTENTIONALLY. Do not fool yourself into thinking people that think as I do are a minority!

I sent an e-mail to Robert Hurt to ask what his position on the CARE bill was, no response. I then sent a letter via 'snail' mail asking the same question, again no response. But last week I received an e-mail from his office with his progress/stance on the debt limit debate.

Mr. Hurt, do you support the CARE bill?

FYI, the CARE bill concerns that quality personnel perform radiological examinations and therapies.

Webb is not running for re-election to the Senate. It's going to be Senator George Allen against timid kaine. At least so far, Robert Hurt has upheld the conservative values he was elected to do.

To Keen, May I suggest you call his Farmville office and voice your complaints there? I seem to have good responses from him and his staff. Good luck.

Why aren't I suprised that you would race bait instead of addressing one, just one point that I brought up.

The internet is full of the same vitrolic spewed hatred that you're spewing. You could at least come up with original material.

You're part of the problem, not the solution... and so is the other side. I get more and more convinced that the JBS is right, and parrots like you are nothing but a tool of a far more sinister plan.

I won't vote for the house incumbent either...

I follow Cantor, you want Hurt's record?

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/m...

Shows here that he voted to extend the debt ceiling by 8 TRILLION DOLLARS...

Small government, eh? Extend the Patriot Act? He might as well have taken a poop on the constitution...

And from Thomas Jefferson's district no less.

unbelievable... people are so gullible.

Public schools, libraries, fire protection are all social programs, nowhere in the constitution does it say that we will provide FREE primary education, or free libraries, or free fire protection. Think about it, we are already socialists.
