Several APMers filed a lawsuit on Friday concerning the ethanol plant that's trying to locate outside Chase City. The reasons they quote in the suit are as assinine as all the other reasons they've used. Let's look at a few facts. Fact is most of those opposed to the plant either live within a mile of the proposed site or own land adjacent to the proposed site. Another fact is if you look at the 1400 signed petitions they claim to have, almost all those petitions represent about 500 or less households in the county. Husbands, wives, and kids signed the petitions. Fact is some of those that signed aren't even from this county, some not even in this state and some have changed their minds and are now in favor of the plant. If you take away all those that fall into the above catagories you'll get a true reading of the petitions. I'd say only 100 to 200 really are opposed for intellectual reasons. Selfish, selfish people! They would deny the people of the county and town of jobs, revenue, and potential just because a few don't want to be imposed upon. Sad, selfish hipocrits.

Oh but the article states there is NO connection to APM...

Ed Hall is a coward for hiding behind his wife Sylvia's signature since he is one of the main dingleberries behind APM.

People, regardless of a project or its' intent, no one here is about any hint of progress, PERIOD!

I wonder who is the law firm who authored this suit?

Even though I don't agree on Osage, I have to admire the approach.

Yea, I noticed it said they weren't APM. But, Ida O'Sullivan is the leader of APM, the Halls' are APMers, Richie Richards is a ringleader. Heck, they all are. A possum is a possum whether you call it a marsupial or not.
Isn't it nice to know that Richie and Ida are speaking for everyone except those who speak up in favor of Osage? That's what they claim in the suit. "The plaintiffs bring suit on behalf of the residents of Mecklenburg County on the grounds that we (and they) have received a particular injury from our Board in that it failed to represent us when it approved the two applications mentioned above". So, to those who are quiet or not concerned and for those who just fail to speak out for yourself, don't worry, Richie is speaking for you.

Of the named petitioners there is only one that I can see who has a business in CC. That is F.W. Richards, owner of Richard's Pharmacy. I for one will never set foot in his establishment again. That is my vote/choice/voice of dissent. Hope he goes out of business soon.

I'd love to see the "Letters to the Editor" section of the Mecklenburg Sun, South Hill Enterprise, and Chase City News Progress flooded with letters from people who want to speak for themselves. I'll be doing business at CVS from now on.

And it will be easy to spot the clowns. They are decked out in yellow and red.
