I don't understand. I've been using this company for several years now and have recomened them to my friends and family and they all say that they are great, otherwise I wouldn"t recommend them. They always tell me what the cost will before they start the job and give me a full explanation of what it entails, they clean up after their done, and they"re always polite and informative from the person who answers the phone to the electrian who does the job.

Guess you were lucky -- or maybe this company has really changed since you used them. Mine is the same story -- over-estimated, over-charged, failed to pull permits (and overcharged for the permits he didn't pull, too!) Watch out for this guy! This is trouble you don't need!

Obviously, This is Matt 25. Lets see, We did a job for you, you were givin an up front price, you agreed to the price, you signed the contract, the job was completed, the job was inspected, you've moved in tennants and are turning a profit, and YOU WON'T PAY US. Who's wronged here?

"Who's wronged here?" Well, at least three people here, plus the guy you're yelling about in your post. At least four others on other blogs. I'm not surprised somebody isn't paying you. Too late for the rest of us. All I can do is warn other people.

Dear Matt,
You can slam this company all you like. The fact still remains that we did a job for you, you signed a contact, and you now refuse to pay. You are using Goverment funds for your projects and making great profits on others money, and you are run by a religious order. Now, who's eyes should be open.
This is our last post on this subject as litigation has begun against Matt 25.
We have serviced ove 57,000 customers and these are the only complaints. We are also listed with the BBB, the comsumer watch dog group, with an A plus rating.

Don't argue with these guys, as they will never admit what they do is wrong. Ignore the BBB too - wait until you see the investigative reports series coming out on them! Go the the attorney generals office and the division of professional licensure and pull his records. Then you will see this companys true colors!!! And believe me - it isn't pretty. Use them and you will get burned.

This company is is a joke ! They are misleading about estimates, they over charge, and fail to substantiate the charges after the fact. Their quote was 300% above the other 3 quotes I received, and when I called them out on it they cut it in half? What sort of company conducts themselves like this?

If you are thinking of hiring these guys, STAY AWAY !!!!
They will rip you off. All the reviews on GOOGLE and YAHOO are BOGUS and written by the owner of the company. These guys pray on the desperate. DO NOT CALL THEM. THey charge a $57 fee just to show up, then the damage really begins.

mr.response they are a scam artist. i call them for an emergency and they tried to charge me $1000 for an $140.00 job. they did a fraudulent diagnostic. when i question them about the wrong diagnostic they couldn't answer, he just kept saying that he wanted his money. we problably end up in court since they will never admit any wrong doing. an elderly person would of paid not knowing what was going on. they said i needed a 15- 20 foot main feeder wired and all that was needed was a $20.00 outside part. elderly people please be aware of this company. the guy they send after 20 minutes said that i would have to pay $217.00 for the fraudulent diagnostic and $787.00 extra for the work! I asked the guy if they work by the hour and he said that they work by the job he then took out a chart and after looking he quoted me that outrageous amount ($787.00). when i question the amount he said that wire was expensive. when you brake it down is $393.50 per hour! crazy. and they still feel that they are doing nothing wrong. Shame on them! I believe in karma.

I have work for this company and I must say they do rip off people! What they do is they show up for a few of $57 then they do a diagnostic on your problem! Which to mention cost an extra 150! When they find the problem they pull out this bogus chart that has prices that are at a flat rate! Now those price are raised by 300%! And they will not break down the price because they know that there prices are to expensive! Now the owner has a very big problem with people questioning his prices and feels that he must make a big scene or problem to try to scare the customer into giving into him! I must say when I worked there it was very hard to give those prices! Oh and if you have a nice house or car in the driveway expect an even higher price! The owner will in a heart beat take you to court because that his way of dealing with people who don't bow down to him! So I will say stay far away from this company so you don't get ripped off! Ps he raise prices to the elderly them takes 15% off so they still come out to his original price on his chart! one more thing he only has on shop and one electrician! Plus he is slow as hell! Beware fair people of massachusetts!

I can assure you that you must be an exception. I recently (April 2012) had this Mr. Response Electric come out for an emergency job. He charged me 3X the going rate (which I discovered AFTER I paid him), and he never pulled a permit. When I called the town wondering when they were coming for an inspection, he told me a permit was never pulled. I specifically asked Bill Augustynski (President) if he had pulled a permit and he told me he did, but that "the inspector may not show up because they know the quality of his work." Well, they do, that's for sure, and not in a good way! The town forced Mr. Response Electric to file a permit and the inspection failed. The guy re-used the old corroded breakers that were removed from the corroded electric panel(which was replaced. He failed to bring the panel to code and was required to either move the panel or move the closet (he chose to move the closet). He then said he would pay for the cost of the closet, but this ended up costing me even more money. His guy had to come out several times for the electrical, and the other guy he hired had to come several times for the closet, causing me to lose a lot of time from work. After all this, I STILL don't have a signed off electrical permit as he never re-filed the $40 re-inspection fee. When I called him about this, he told me he "didn't have to!" I said you don't need to have your work inspected and passed by the town after it failed?? He was completely rude to me telling me he wasn't going to file for reinspection with the town and that I should call his lawyer. All I want is for the work he did at my house (that I paid an excessive amount for) to be reinspected and passed so I have no liability issues. I would NEVER recommend this individual or Mr. Response Electric to ANYONE. He tells you what you want to hear, but both the inspector and I have caught Bill Augustynski in several lies (he was telling me one thing, and telling the inspector another) and does not stand behind his work.
DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!
