That is exactly what she is saying happened!! WOW
As much as I believe idiots shouldn't be allowed to report on the news, I believe with even more conviction that idiots shouldn't be allowed to comment on it.

This sounds like a case for Sherlock Holmes. I hope I'm a member of the jury because I've already made my mind up. Can anybody know how I will vote? Only "The Shadow" knows...ha ha ha!

Hmmm. Word around campus was that he was apprehended with a weapon.

What's a terrific-law abiding-honor student doing with a weapon in his dorm room? Trying to kill cockroaches?

Methinks Dad's going to eat his words.

I see gray Ford Focuses everywhere...maybe he's guilty, but if he isn't, then GREAT JOB to the Sentinel and the city of Fitchburg for ruining this guy's life...

They may have gotten the license plate # but that doesn't mean it was on the right car. It's the perfect scam, steal someone's plate who has the same kind of car to cast suspicion on an innocent person. I'm not saying I believe either side but there is a lot of doubt and the police work was amatuer at best.

The Police are charging him with Armed Robbery, it's not the playground here! Police see people respond to questioning all the time, they have epreience with who is nervous and not answering correctly or to satisfaction.

If for example, a person is innocent, they could backtrack they're whole day with I went here, there, did this and that and there would be no hemming or hawing around. They would have the receipt from a store for example.

He will have to clear his own name on this one I think.

Those in authority aren't always right. The Duke Lacrosse case is still recent memory. If the FPD and the prosecution want to drag this guy's name left, right, and sideways, let's see the gun or some cash first...every tenth car in this city is a Ford Focus, and it isn't exactly unusual for a college male to have sports caps laying around...

And, if that's all the evidence they do end up coming up with, I'd still like to see him let go even if he DID do it...I'd fear for myself in this country if it becomes acceptable for a young man to go to prison with a felony charge based on a baseball cap, a common car, and a "maybe" description...

ummm...yeah, not sure how to break it to you, but the article never actually said ANYTHING about him being apprehended with "9k lying around" but, hey, i could be wrong. please do tell me where you formulated this assumption
