Too many Earnhart wannabes cutting corners and putting unsuspecting oncoming drivers at risk. Little or no police presence only reinforces this. And check out the power lines that are almost completely covered by trees, etc. No wonder power goes out all the time. Pathetic display of state responsibility.

I drive Rt. 20 everyday and there are always cops on this road. That isn't going to slow people down any ways. There are two types of drivers on this road. Either they drive really fast or creep reall slow. There is no in between. If you don't want to get ran off the road you have got to keep up with traffic or the idiots who are in a hurry will run you off the road or pass you on a double line. I always keep up with the traffic because I would hate to see an innocent person get killed because of someone else's stupidity.

One thing that would really help Rt 20 and lower the commuter traffic in the morning and evenings would be bus service from Scottsville to Charlottesville. Currently Jaunt makes 1 trip at 6am and 4:30 pm. which doesn't work for anyone working 8-5.

I drive this road every day as well. It's unbelievable how many oncoming vehicles cross the center lines! Why?

Beware of the red tow truck! He likes to cut the corners and force you to move over. Couldn't catch the name on the truck, but I'll see him again and post it here (at least). This guy is a REAL DANGER on this road. Be careful and drive defensively. This idiot doesn't care!

As promised....the tow truck was from Cavalier. I also saw the same driver blow through a 4 way stop at about 50mph!!! Again, watch out for the red tow truck! It's just a matter of time.......

If they were Earnhardt fans maybe they would know that cutting corners means you don't know how to drive. Driver training is a joke, I learned more watching NASCAR, things like two corners do not equal a curve.

Nascar driving habits do NOT belong on our highways in ANY way, shape, or form. Just because you 'think' you can take a curve at a ridiculously high rate of speed, doesn't give you the right to cross the center line(s) and put others in danger. Good driving practices ARE taught. If you believe this is as you say a 'joke', then perhaps you should retake the class. Good driving habits include courtesy, awareness, anticipation, safety, and following the rules of the road. Nascar driving habits reflect aggressiveness, rude and unlawful driving, and put everyone on the road at extreme risk. And for what? Is it to impress their fellow Bud swillin' loser friends? Maybe they're in a hurry to get home and watch the 'rasslin' on the tv? Or maybe they're just too stupid to think in a rational manner. That seems to make the most sense.

Route 20 North of Charlottesville is just as bad. I've never seen so many drivers passing on a solid double line in my life. People...slow down and drive safely. Please.
