You must not have a single relative buried in a cemetery. I agree about cremation, but not about the golf courses.

I dunno, if it were me, I'd take up the offer to moved far away to a nice quiet place, rather than listen to traffic for all eternity.

Just how much is this "change" going to cost the taxpapers now?
None of the living family members cared enough to care for the plots.... if this were a white family cemetary bet the change would not have happened!!

This land that the cemetary is located on belonged to me and before that my parents and even before that my grandparents. VDOT KNEW about it 14 years ago when I was negotiating with them about my home and property that they acquired.
With no disrespect to that family but in my lifetime there has never been anyone to it to visit. Someone in the family was actually told about it years ago and that they could see it (before I built a house in front of it) and they never came to see it. It is hard to believe that VDOT will disrupt families and make them leave their homes but people who have been buried for years they will make an exception and leave them alone. We were told they would simply move the cemetary. It is a shame that we were made to leave when it sounds like now they did not need to take my home. So - if I had been dead and buried there I wouldn't have had to move, RIGHT????

Now,now Kim. Don't you know the rules are different when there are minorities involved?

I thought of that , but it felt good for my peace of mind to say what I thought.
