Now that would appropriate, for several reasons.

Why do we need a firing range. The government should ban all guns. That includes private law abiding citizens, cops and the military. The only ones who should have guns are the criminals.

May the lord and savior, Barack Obama, show his devine love and holiness to each and every liberal, and damn all Christians, homophobes and veterans.

You should run for C-ville city council. You would fit right in with them, they hate America and the constitution as well. I know you are joking, but unfortunately too many folks in this town agree with your post.

Why does this need to be a public funded "police" only firing range ?

It needs to be a joint venture so maybe we can get away from the "us against them" attitutde that seems to be rampant on the east side of the Blue Ridge.

Maybe the PD's can get lessons from the public as they have a higher failure rate of wrongful shooting than the public firing way fewer rounds.

Take a look at what appears to be the C-ville PD shooting hush hush cover-up .

Why would today’s "bipartisan" political theater over gun grabbing and stripping rights away from responsible gun owners not TOP STORY , front and center at NBCensorship29 filtered liberal news ?

Michelle Obama the single lady deserves an acadamy award for the crocodile tear show to help her fumbling idiot husband out of this mess.

The wheels done come off the obama gun grabbing train .

Call your reps people …. stop this bullshit.

What would the option be if they close the Ivy Transfer station? I've seen "collection sites" in other counties and it seems like if you have a pickup load full, you just have to get their soon enough after they pick trash up to fill up a couple of the bins.

That is what they were doing at the Rivanna Rifle/Pistol Club Old Lynchburg rd. For various reasons, the relationship is not working.

Charlottesville PD is actually pretty good about using their firearms. The person shot at the elk lodge was wounded and he had already shot someone else. Albermarle, on the other hand, does have a record of "shoot to kill first, ask questions later" even when not presented with deadly force.

Even worse, the haulers would have to drive all the way to Zion Freaking Crossroads (50 mile round trip sometimes).

The convenience center thing works for rural sparse areas such as Lousia, Buckingham. We need to be moving to a metro model such as NoVa or NY with multiple transfer stations with good operating hours (READ NOT CLOSED AT 3:30 PM).

I will take your word for it for now , I am still a betting man that C-ville is hush hush over the downtown police shooting for a reason .

We will see how they spin it , AND they are already spinning it .

Thats pretty interesting since the following is true about ACPD:

Man that broke into a home, killed the police K-9 and was shot is still alive.

Man harboring the I64 shooters shot at police from 6 feet away, he was shot twice and then officers saved his life.

The man that stole a police car and shot up half of wo county and fired at over 10 officers was killed.....What did you want them to ask first? He shot at several citizens too.

Man murders friend then points a gun at officers then retreats and commits suicide.

Man attack ACPD officer and then attempts to shoot with the officers taser is shot twice, then the officers save his life.

We agree with you: the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County should have multiple transfer stations with convenient locations and hours for THEIR residential trash and construction debris. They should take responsibility for what they create and stop shipping everything through Fluvanna County! We, Fluvanna County, residents deserve a clean, peaceful community without all of this mess coming to and from outside of Fluvanna County!

Thanks for citing a truly credible source. First, you cite the Washington Post (laughable), then within that article, you cite facts from the FCC on projected numbers.

BTW, regardless of who initiated the program, why isn't the current president ending the program?

The reasons are obvious and have been stated multiple times here. They treat paying range members with the same disrespect and contempt they do the average citizen. They want respect but don't want to earn it.
