<quoted text>Your reality is skewed, history shows us that all societies in the end fail, and so will ours, sooner than most. Since we have decided to make corporations a living breathing entity, they will have more rights than the unwashed masses they rule over, and they do rule us, just ask your congressman. Successful country? surely you jest, we're a debtor nation with a failing credit score. Greed rules this country, has since the robber barons, remember them? they don't have names now, just employer ID numbers. Like most failed governments, they failed from within.
I agree with your assessment that our finances are in shambles but the reason for that lies with the politicians not the corporations. And yes the Roman Empire fell due to internal strife as we will if we do not return to our conservative principles.

<quoted text>You can cut and paste all of the communist propaganda you want but the reality is that you cannot not point to a more successful form of government nor economic system in the history of the world that has assimilated as many people of different origins and built the worlds most successful country. You sicken me because you are not able to accept the fact that America is as strong as we are because we are a nation of freedom lovers. I don't have any idea how old you are but to me you seem as though you just passed your political science class at one of the many socialist universities that are scattered across America. Tell me what you really think of this country. Don't hold back. And stop using some obscure authors words as an extension of your own.
Socialism doesn't work and it never will.
You just called Adam Smith an obscure author and quotes from 'An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations' communist propaganda. You have the entire internet at your finger tips, and you post something so ridiculous, how can I respond? Did you pass 8th grade American history? If you only knew exactly how stupid you appear now, wow. I gave you a hint when I called him the father of classical economics. You do know that classical economics is the blue print for the free market system, right? He is to Capitalism what Karl Marx is to Communism, and what is briefly called 'A Wealth of Nations' is the capitalist equivalent to the 'Communist Manifesto.' I'm sorry to rub it in,(not really), but WOW.
.
Do you use roads? What do you think of the military?

I loved it when I swore an oath to serve it, I loved it when I was deployed, and I love it now. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's far from being perfect, but it's far from being the worst, too. But really, that really has nothing to do with the topic, now does it?

True but who owns the politicians? What we have is bastardisation of a republic, it sounds nice and gee at one time it did work, but like communism mankind never fails to mess things up. The only way to fix what we have is to chase the PACs and lobbyists out of DC, ain't gonna happen.

They are both to blame, and so are we for allowing both institutions to get away with their behavior. The very wealthy spend billions on propaganda so they can continue to dupe the public, the consent of the governed, as you will.
.
Every revolution, every single one, has been a direct result of wealth inequality. This is why I use Henry Ford as an example, so often. He became one of the wealthiest men in the history of the earth by paying his people unheard of wages at the time. We're talking Cyrus the great wealth, wealthier than pharaohs and Caesars. Detroit became the new Rome. It wasn't until Ford and Chrysler went public that it started to wane; not at first mind you, but slowly, over time as the corporation started to pull wealth from the creators and started to become investment bankers.

Our "prime directive" in life is to procreate, just like rats. Unfortunately we don't learn lessons as well as rats do so we keep making the same mistakes, procreating.

So you admit you are a slave to your wanton animal urges/ And have no control over your sexual desires and behavior? Sorry for you that you never evolved to become a higher life form than the animals.

It is odd seeing someone that supports evolution not supporting the fact that it is instinct to pass along one's DNA. You are a walking contradiction.

I will admitt one thing, They sure do pick the right people to storm the beach heads in wars, the rate of fatalitiy is very high, but appearently not high enough. The gene pool still needs some cleaning up.

Never said I support the evolutionary theory, just put it in terms "sez you" can understand. If anything, sez you seems to have devolved (not a provable theory either).

Sez you expressed themselves in "evolutionary terms" ( base desires). It is only logical to respond in a way that he/she would understand, using theories that he/she would relate to. It in no way states that I support evolutionary theory. Sez you placed themselves on that lower plane (animal vs. mankind) by stating that sexuality is "just passing on their dna", something animals do. If sex to you is "just passing on dna" you have elected to drop down to the animal level on the heirarchy of living things.

We don't "storm beaches" anymore. Sad for you that you cannot tolerate someone who disagrees with you to the point of wishing them dead. You are right the gene pool needs cleaning up. Look in the mirror

Because they didn't evolve or mutate along with the rest of the bonobos and chimpanzee, why?

Ultimately, that is what sex is for. Humans are animals, they're primates, but on the evolutionary scale, they're at the top of the hierarchy.
