Seems like a small token in return for one historic land grab.

Nature will never benefit from the public having access. Leave it be, the animals will be happier.

The person would be paid for by the entrance fees. You didn't think the govt would let you enter for free, did you?

This entrance is long overdue for central Virginia residents. I have been turned away due to accidents on my way to the Thornton Gap Entrance multiple times and I had to drive all the way back to the Route 33 or Waynesboro entrance to gain admission to the park. This will also help make the White Oak Canyon and Old Rag trails feel more "in the park" too and people will be able to access them from Skyline Drive without a lot of extra driving. I love, love, love this idea. If NPS can't afford to staff the entrance, make it for pass-holders only or an honor box like at Crab Tree Falls. We want to make parks more accessible!

Just what we need in Madison. More trash and more Outsiders. Who is going to pay to have that trail modified to carry the traffic? I wish that they would put it to a vote of the residents of Madison.

Firearms were not allowed in SNP in 1998. Why was the person in this account not arrested? Oh that's right, criminals do not obey firearms laws. Keep voting 'til you feel good!
