obama care will cancel out this wonderful idea we wil have to limit its use to younger patients (those who in the eyes of a death panel are worth saving) the rest of you will get a aspirin if you can afford it

Speaking of 'death panels' in 1982 my father-in-law was denied a heart catherization to look for a blockage, his insurance carrier (Prudential) said it wasn't medically necessary. He died of a massive heart attack 3 weeks later. The insurance companies have had 'death panels' or utilization reviews since they started in the business. So stop trying to scare people into thinking this is new.

Better yet, let people be responsible for their own choices in life. If you find happiness sitting on your fat butt watching television while eating grease and smoking, don't expect the government, insurance companies, or the medical profession to fix what you made. Why should those who respect their bodies with healthy choices in food and recreation have to bear the cost of keeping invalids alive? I would be more impressed if these doctors changed their focus to helping victims of accidents or birth defects, and if public resources were directed to providing recreational activities and sports facilities.

Agree, except there are risk factors you cannot control, your gender and your genes. Non-smoking vegetarian joggers have heart attacks too. And let's not forget the fat guy who gets hit by the non-smoking vegetarian athletic soccer mom in her minivan who is busy texting. People who live unhealthy lifestyles should pay more for insurance, but don't say they are not worthy of first class medical care.
