A large mega landfill is the answer. Re-rail the railroad at Zion Crossroads that was abandoned in 1973, and get unit trains of garbage from Jersey, NY to bring millions of dollars of badly needed funds.

I can understand all the interest in the school boards need for money from the BOS but there is something besides this problem that bothers me.Has anyone become aware of the problems within the Middle school with the lack of bathrooms working, water faucets not working,so hands can not be washed after using what bathrooms do work, actually it is the toilets that has the problem and does your child have ongoing coughs ,or breathing problems? Did anyone look into the possible problem of mold in the building?
I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where to go to speak to someone about having the above mentioned looked into besides the school board. You can not tell me that Ms.Keller does not know of these and that the principle him/her self does not know.
I am not trying to stir the pot so to speak but can not understand why there is not a board with in the State that you can not go to to have these questions answered. Please if someone does know please reply.
Thank yoy.

Just tell your brat to hold it until he gets home. Builds character.

First of my grandson is not a brat, but you sir are someone that words can not express,,
The school and health officials say wash your hands to kill any germs,,
secondly any person child or otherwise should not hold any bathroom functions as it can cause infection.
It is people with your remarks that cause problems and I am sure you have caused many.
Thank you however for your response.
By the way ,"you should not call someone a name unless you know it to be true."

You can speak to Mrs. Keller, or you can go to one of the school board meetings and speak in front of the board. Or you can go to fluco.org and find out who your school board rep is for your district -- all their contact information is there.

Meanwhile, I am looking forward to hear the solutions the school board comes up with regarding their new budget line for fy2014. not counting state and federal money, they will have 12.2 million from local funds to work with (they were forwarded 300K from next year's budget, and they won't get the $650K that was this past spring's one-time supplement). with the advent of the new high school and this down economy, it's about time the schools made hard choices that they have punted on for a long long time, always figuring "the money was going to be there". I applaud the board of supervisors for offering the funds to relieve teacher furloughs, and I am glad that the school board recognized the need to compromise and come across the aisle and agree to make the cuts for next year.

Oh, and the roof is leaking at the middle school. has been for about 10 years (see what I mean about punting...)

Tell the board of supervisors you are tired of the greed of teachers. Demand they vote to defend the schools until the teachers that ruined Fluvanna are all fired.
