<quoted text>By the way, that thing on your lap or desk that you are typing words into is part of the human progress. And the car you drive and the food you buy and the thing you talk to other people on and the box in your house with magic pictures and sound are all part of the evolution of our species that you seem to hate so much. So until you get rid of all those items and move back into a cave and track down and kill your dinner with nothing but your hands then you are nothing more than another Al Gore hypocrite! Good luck with your future.

Tell ya what.
Let's put a transcript of this exchange in a time vault so in 100 years people can shake their heads in disbelief.

Why would you want to embarrass yourself that way?

It depends if you're Methuselah or not, I have an adult child. Typing on a tablet is not always conducive to spelling correctly. Why did you have to look up anthropogenic?

Do you give your children cigarettes? There is no real evidence that it is bad for them? There are trends and evidence suggests that they are, but no real hard core facts. I mean, most doctors and scientists agree that it's unhealthy, but no real proof.
.
The fact that you conflate anthropogenic global warming with environmentalism is ignorant. The Malthusian crises doesn't just involve global warming, it involves all resources and population sustainability; you know arable land (for food), potable water, and breathable air. We don't know whether "climate change" is anthropogenic or not, but even a Koch Bros scientist who ran an independent study was converted from denier to believer, but despite the trends, and despite the evidence, regardless if it is anthropogenic or not it is something we have to deal with the loss of resources because of it, that technology could save us from congenial climate change, if we cared about future generations, but it is your arrogance in spite of the evidence that makes you too selfish to care.

I love the word "plethora", but its all incidental anyway. Won't be to much longer, another million years or so, whos counting, that the earth will loose its atmosphere anyway. We're just speeding it along a little bit.

Actually I did know but what is more pathetic is someone trying to sound so much more intelligent than the rest of us by regurgitating environut talking points and misspelling your large words.

I don't doubt for one moment that there is in fact climate change taking place. It has since the earth was formed. But there is no "proof in fact" that man is producing enough CO2 to have any effect on the climate of the entire planet. There have been numerous studies that show CO2 does not retain heat as much as it has been reported. But the powers that be try to extinguish the dissenting views by labeling them as crack pots and non believers. Climate change has become an industry mainly funded by government money. And it's true intent is control and redistribution of money to so called developing nations. That is why you have the "cap-n-trade" legislation. Nothing in that ponzi scheme does anything to reduce pollution but it is designed to make some very wealthy and move money out of our country to others.

You are the one in denial. Not me...

plethora is not a large word, and I'm not regurgitating anything from any "environut."

So let me reiterate:

One last follow up, climate change, if it's happening for the negative, is just one of many environmental risks we face. The point is, your offspring's survival is less important to you than a few bucks a month. If you were starving, would you eat them, too? Apparently, there is nothing greater than yourself; are you a disciple of Rand?

There are a lot of things that can do us in, polarity shifts, super volcanoes, and asteroids, just to name a few. We can only control what is in our realm. Like CvilleMechEngr says, carpe diem, though, it is right to try to control the outcome.(not verbatim.)

Polarity shift was an idea that has been debunked, asteroids, nothing really close for the next 20 or 30 years, maybe, calderas like Yellow Stone? they're anybodies guess, maybe tomorrow. one thing for sure, we keep cutting down virgin forests we're toast. It is interesting that the Nile Valley at one point was a lush wetland inhabited by untold thousands just a few thousand years ago. The weather patterns changed, with no help from man, and now its sand dunes. So, one could argue that some aspects of global warming are just natural occurrences, fate. I believe part of that is true but we sure are pouring gas on the fire. Peking, China is in a cloud of pollution, wonder if they will do anything to address that.

No, and I beg to differ on the amount of evidence that smoking is bad for you versus man made climate change.

It's from the UN and it was confirmed by a UN employee. But that's fine you keep a closed mind and try to silence and opposing views. That is the definition of stupidity.
