It is great that Charlottesville is involving homeowners in planting trees. The Tree Stewards in Lynchburg, VA are doing the same and we hope this activity spreads thoughout the state.

How can this be done without at least 6 studies and two consultants?

What will happen to the homeless leaves in the fall when they trees abandon them? Save them, Mayor Norris!

If they are going to encourage the planting of more trees, please don't be so darn stingy with the too thin bags for recycling leaves. After all, trees don't have to be in your yard. leaves don't recognize property lines when they fall and blow in the wind. We had to discard several bags because they split, and I was given grief when I called to ask for more bags. Still haven't gotten the promised additional bags so guess I'll just rake my remaining leaves to the curb and hope they're collected before stopping up a storm drain.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
