Well atleast they are working for a change instead of driving around talking on cell phones or texting. Here is a little assignment...bring a pad a paper with you today in your travels and each time you see a albemarle county police car driving around let us know tonight if the driver was on the cell phone. I for one rarely see one not on a cell phone.

This county reminds me of Germany in the 1930-1945 era. Please have papers ready at every check point. They even went as far as to put in traffic cameras, what a joke. There is no wonder that people are staying away from this county and their little town they call a city.

Good job APD. For anyone concerned about accidents, and sticks with the speed limit, it is amazing how many people who think they have special dispensation. I quite frankly find it amusing when some privileged driver speeds past me, then when I arrive at the next stop light he/she refuses to make any eye contact because they have played the fool, and have to wait along with me for the light to change.

NOTICE TO THOSE IN A HURRY! leave earlier for your appointment, or use your phone to notify them you will be late.

SPEED LIMITS SIGNS, ARE ENFORCEABLE LIMITS. NOT SUGGESTIONS.

STOP THE WAR ON WOMEN!
DON'T VOTE FOR GEORGE MACACA.

4 DUI'S doesn't justify whatever the undisclosed budget was for this operation.

You want to bet. I have been pulled over in both of my Porsche's, my wife's Mercedes, and the BMW I used to drive was a frigging cop magnet. I however never get pulled over in my twenty five year old pick up truck. Don't hate the players just hate the game. If you don't follow the law (I don't pay attention to the speed limit when I have open road or am not in a residential area) and when I get pulled over it was my fault.
Removing impaired drivers from our roads is a good thing, remember the people who are driving under the influence are sharing the roads with someone you love. I am not a fan of law enforcement by any stretch of the imagination, but I am less of a fan of close minded people who think people with high end cars are immune from prosecution. If you can manage to remove your head from your rear end you might not have such a crappy outlook on life. Just a suggestion.

What's with the cop haters? I'd be willing to bet that those who have an issue with law enforcement are the same ones who routinely break the law. OR, they've got their head buried in a hole and fail to realize that, by enforcing laws, Police are protecting the Constitutional rights of those that abide by the law. It seems that with just 4 DUI arrests out of 100 total tickets the police have done their job quite well. Perhaps those who would have normally driven after consuming too many drinks thought about the high probability of getting caught and made the good decision not to drive due to increased police presence. As for a cop using a cell phone while driving: Who cares? It's not against the law. I'm more worried about some little teeny-bopper UVA student driving daddy's BMW while talking on their iPhone.

Appearently the money to do this extra ticket writing came from a grant from the dept of motor vehicles. Well that tells us one thing, their fees are way to high.

You are absolutely right. the government is picking yuour pocket and then paying cops double time and a half to ticket you. It is outrageous and the fact that cops volunteer to do it is even more crazy. I guess they do it because they are desperate for the money like other working class bums but have some pride scum.

I came up from Neslson earlier today, guess what? Three state troopers in a row writng tickets, two on motorcycles. I couldn't feel sorry for the dummies cause they had to of known they'd be out there right on 29 just south of 64, thats where they always are. I don't worry about it cause I just do the speed limit and fret about other stuff like the price of gas.

Get your slow a*s out of the left lane and quit trying to be my conscience. Holding up traffic and riding in the left lane is against the law too (it's considered aggressive driving), but I bet law enforcement doesn't write tickets for that.

Well Now, News Flash, Darn Right, whatever your clever little name is, here's a few tips: Move out of your daddy's basement, you're too old to be living off your parents dime. Get a working-class job; it might humble you. Get rid of the bongs and you won't get busted by the cops again. And, pay off those fines so you can get your license back to LEGALLY drive to and from your new working-class job. It makes me smile when I see the police pull over some fool who thinks he or she can race past everyone without being caught. Especially In a county with one of the highest vehicular fatality rates in the country. Moron.
