Why does race need to be brought into the picture everytime someone says anything about the president? The man is black...so what? Sure some disagree with his skin color, but I guaranty that most people who voted from Romney do not like Obama because of his policies. Race is an issue only when it is made the issue so top bringing it up. White, black, yellow, red, brown, blue, purple, or even green are all Americans. It's time to start acting like it!

Because the color of his skin has a lot to do with it. Racism is alive and well in the country. There have been numerous topix comments from locals on here that have been blatant racist. I can bet a large amount of voters that voted for Romney had to to with the race of Obama. It has everything to do with the fear and conspiracy theories that the GOP has and continues to crank out. It plays to their base. What is the GOP base? Old white males. It is the same reason why the GOP is afraid to touch immigration reform. Can't upset the base.

The GOP has spent enormous amount of time playing these conspiracy theories to paint Obama as someone to fear. To portray him as someone as "other". From Jon Sinunu saying Obama is "lazy" and "Un-American" and saying that the only reason Colin Powell endorsed Obama was because the color of his skin. From the birther attempts from Trump. To Michelle Bachman saying that the Muslim Brotherhood is being let in by the Obama administration. To Gingrich saying that Obama is the "food-stamp President". You can pretend that the color of his skin doesn't have anything to do with it. If he was white, I bet not a single one of these conspiracy theories would exist.

That is what is wrong with the GOP and if they don't realize this, it can be more of the same in 2016. The GOP is putting the blame where it doesn't belong. You can continue to harp and say that the reason Obama won the election was because half the country wants to live off the government.
I seen a nice analyst of what the problems are inside the GOP. One of the reasons for their defeat was the conservatives are lied to by the conservative media. With the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh, O'reilly, etc. O'reilly reiterated it by saying that Obama won because half the country "want stuff". If you want to believe that, it is going to be a long road ahead for you. The conservative media lives in an alternate universe from reality. The political analyst did a study at a tea party rally. They asked the people attending some questions. The tea party members couldn't answer the questions correctly. They actually believe that the government spends $1 trillion each year on entitlements. They can't seperate the true reality from the alternate reality that they have been fed from the conservative media. I guess this is why Romney wasn't going to let fact checkers dictate his campaign.
You can run around as if the sky is falling all you want. I think you will be in for a suprise during the second term of President Obama. I have a feeling that there will be some major accomplishments from entitlement reform, tax reform, immigration, fiscal reform, etc. It will all depend on cooperation from the GOP in congress. Obama is not out to destroy the country.
Was the analyst Bill Maher? I seen it also.

For now it is seems cheaper..in the long run it'll become much more expensive..having conversations in here has it's disappointments..too many believe they are so much smarter & more informed than anyone else..I always learn something thatI may not have known...they're only a hand full of brillant minds in this world..Coal is the best we have & it's abundance helps lead us in the world..Natural gas which is clean by itself will in fact cause harm to the enviorment in the future as well for its demands will increase the cost astronomically..is there ever a solution that in the long run doesn't screrw the consumer...

Sorry, but I don't get news from Bill Maher. He might be good for a laugh, but that is about it.

Ordering pizza?
Papa Johnís CEO, John Schnatter, told his employees that he would start cutting their hours because Obama care costs his franchise too much money to provide health care coverage to all their employees that work over 30 hours.
