Oh please! How do bruises just mysteriously turn up on a baby? And if the child was in her care - she's responsible! Why would they arrest her? Just because they had nothing else to do that day?
That's right, everyone who has ever been arrested is guilty:

Apparently we want to bypass the fifth and fourteenth amendments of the US constitution and go straight to the sentencing phase.

Yeah, she's guilty. Hope she gets jail time and then she can try out her abusing techniques on some of her cell mates. Yeah, let her pick on somebody her own size. Scum of the earth!

The presumption of innocence until yada yada applies to the court procedures, not factual innocence or guilt. If a person commits a crime, they are in fact guilty from the minute they commit the criminal act.

The public is entitled an opinion right from the start.

Take, for instance, while NBC29 is filming the 11:00 news, a man walks on the set with a hunting knife and stabs both anchors to death and remains on camera with the knife dripping blood in his hand until police arrive to arrest him. As far as his arrest and trial he is presumed innocent, but factually no reasonable person would agree that he is innocent. He was guilty from the first thrust of the knife and proof was in full view of live witnesses and several cameras. Even as clear cut as this proof would be, he would still plead not guilty, and until proven guilty in a court of law, he has to be presumed innocent, even though factually he is guilty.

There have been innocent people arrested. There have been innocent people convicted. There have many more times been guilty people arrested, but not found guilty for some reason, but that does not mean they did not in fact commit the crime. If a criminal commits a crime and everybody knows it, but gets off on a technicality (didn't get read rights) that doesn't mean the person is innocent. Just in a court of law they had to let him go.

There are circumstances in which a person gets away with murder and is never found guilty, but the person killed is still dead and they are still guilty of the crime.

But that isn't the case, is it? It's not a slam dunk case, and for all we know it is an overreactive protective mother, or it is exactly what is alleged. Hey, if this women gets convicted, then I on board punish her to fullest extent of the law, but until then we don't know squat.
.
Why is more important to ensure an innocent goes free than the guilty gets convicted?

Since you're so hung up on a person being innocent until proven guilty, would you leave YOUR four month old baby with her until the court could decide?

What does that have to do with presumed innocence or guilt, or the rights recognized in the Constitution to due process?
.
Since you want to know my opinon on child rearing. I wouldn't have left my four month old baby with anyone, and when my kids were 4 months old, we didn't.

Jessica is a great friend and a great mother! She has helped her sister raise her children and now she has her own child. Jessica is a very intelligent person and I just dont see how she could do something like this...she has been watching our mutual friends kids off and on since high school. She is a reasonable person weather you see it or not.

and FYI babies do roll around and bump themselves OUTSIDE and INSIDE... ALSO other CHILDREN can cause such things as well as the child hiself/herself. Regardless the age... I cant name a single girl I know that cuts their babies nails with actual clippers therefor a childs nails constantly grow. So are you going to charge them for the scratches that their own children leave on themselves? I would let Jessica watch my child any day shes was brought up better then this.

I saw this child after this incident occured, I even strongly urged the parents to release the pictures of this childs injuries to be made public. There is no way this was a roll and bump, this baby had to be seen in the E.R., so you already know CPS involved and investigated which led to the outcome of her being charged, now we sit back and wait for a guilty judgement. Think about that. Research it.

When my son was a few months old he was hospitalized for internal bleeding cps stepped in accussed me of letting him get into cleaning supplies seriously he couldn't walk or crawl then another case with cps the school felt that I fed one child and not the other because my over weight preemie tha was on steroids was bigger than his older brother o did I mention I'm a itty bitty short petite mom...
My point just because cps involved does not mean she is guilty or she actually did it they go on what they hear an see but where's the proof? I still have both my kids after dealing with cps on several occassions even when my oldest took the wrong medication from a pill box identical to his yes cps was at e.r. and nothing came about it so just. Cps gets involved when a child goes to hospital showing any type of neglect or abuse because they are involved doesn't mean she did it that's what the parent says and had one of my kids situations out come would have been worse or had died I would have made the 6 news as well giving they had no evidence just what they saw the child had..

Like the news said it wasn't life threatening so therefore after he went to the er she wouldve been arrested that night or within a few days...not 3 months later...the investigation is taking so long bc there is no 100% evidence that this was intentional....get the facts before u slander this woman... And if she abused children wouldnt u think her child would be abused and the other children she has watched? Think about it a child abuser would abuse any child including their own

So if she has a small child of her own, who's to say he/she didn't cause the "injury". All it takes is a split second of her not being there and things happen. Unfortunate that this child was injured but it doesn't make it an intentional act by the sitter.
