Police say the 4-month-old's injuries were not life-threatening to the infant, but could be life-threatening to the person who would inflict injuries on a 20 pound, totally defenseless baby.

What a loser. I hope her life is filled with pain and anguish. How can a person abuse a 4 month old baby?? She deserves nothing in life for doing this.

Maybe you should wait until you hear the rest of the story. You don't know if this woman is guilty or not. All you know is that she has been charged.

Of course, another thing you know is that you went for the NBC 29 sucker bait. These incomplete stories about shocking crimes are nothing but a way to pique interest and drive traffic to the NBC 29 newscast. Apparently, NBC 29 doesn't care at all that this woman, who is still innocent in the eyes of the law, may suffer irreparable harm just given the fact that her name and photo have now been splashed all over the NBC 29 web site. Shame on you, NBC 29. No public interest has been served with this story.

Well then why dont you just enlighten us with the rest of the story. Neglect is NEGLECT, PERIOD. If there was enough evidence to charge her then I'm sure she's guilty. But please, by all means, tell us why you think she's not guilty.

Abusing a helpless, four-month old infant is not excusable! What was this person thinking abusing a child would accomplish? Call someone else before making a decision to abuse an infant, a child, etc.!

Under our justice system, neither she nor anyone else has to prove she is NOT guilty, the court has to prove that she IS guilty. I'm sure you have heard the phrase: Innocent until proven guilty. Until that happens, she should not be tried by the press, journalists or forum commenters.

And believe me, just because someone is charged does NOT mean that they are guilty.

Did anyone post that it was excusable? Did anyone, or are you fabricating that?

This is Blue who wants to defend the low- life! How can you defend someone who neglected and abused an infant. I don't think the infant is capable of reaching out and smacking or kicking the sitter. Why do you defend this low-life?? maybe because you are one and do the same ?? It takes a real low life to abuse infants and children. I wonder if the drugs made her do it?
Who did Blue defend? Can you read? What drugs? Where in the article does it say there were drugs?

Did any of you brainiacs who are ready to throw this woman in jail even consider the possibility that the bruises did not occur from abuse, or the possibility that the baby's parent(s), siblings, or someone other than this woman abused the baby?

No, I didn't think so.

Do any of you brainiacs understand your basic freedoms under the U.S. Constitution and exactly why we are so blessed to live in America, where the government can't simply charge you with a crime and lock you up? Don't you get it?

No, I didn't think so.

Oh please! How do bruises just mysteriously turn up on a baby? And if the child was in her care - she's responsible! Why would they arrest her? Just because they had nothing else to do that day?
