state issued photo id card with unique electronic code or unique identifier similar to a credit card that is electronically swiped at the poll. since everyone is registered to a precinct the fact that they voted is accounted and any attempts to vote again or else where would be disallowed or would require a provisional ballot.
tattooed barcodes, or implanted microchips would solve that problem and a host of other problems, too.

To Chuck: I misread your post. It seems if there were any crime, that would be on the part of the polling personnel, assuming the ballot wasn't provisional, etc. since they allowed her to vote without presenting something with her name on it.
No voter ID fraud was committed, even if your story is true.
Very few people show up without some form of identification on the approved list, and most everyone with a d/l. This Republican sponsored bill, just as all the other REPUBLICAN SPONSORED BILLS (wonder why?) in other states, are being pushed through solely to suppress voting from those who would otherwise predomintaly vote for a democrat.

I don't see why you have to provide photo id to buy a gun but not to vote. As we have seen for the last 4 years both can create tradgedies.

Your spelling is tragic as well; work on that first, before contemplating national issues.

Correct and that is the main issue of concern. That law will provide for free photo ID but will it constitute hardship over other forms of ID that is obtained with a fee?

the 'free' photo ID is 'paid' for by taxpayers

effectively disenfranchising a significant portion of the electorate, while there is ALMOST nobody committing voter id fraud

I wish the "even if there was one case of fraud, it would be all worthwhile to register with photo ID" argument would be carried over to the gun debate to register those.

When are you idiots who are opposed to voter photo id going to realize that your vote is the only thing standing between you and anarchy? If we as a nation are not going to insist that a person voting is who they claim to be, we might as well let anyone who shows up in Congress cast a vote whether they are an elected representative or not. I guarantee you I would be there for every vote and would never vote "present" as our illustrious demi-god has done so many times in the past.

The real idiots are those who believing the cry baby poor sports that are crying "fixed" because they can't wrap their head around the loss. So they want to fix the system in their favor through gerrymandering and voter ID laws.

So why suppress potentially millions of otherwise legal votes cast in order to 'validate' the potentially few fraudulent votes that would not likely sway an election anyway?

Let's see. You walk up to the polls, identify yourself and are checked off the polling list. Now how many times does someone else come up and identify themselves as you.
Answer: Never
There has Never been a cast of voter ID fraud. Anywhere, anytime.
"There has Never been a cast of voter ID fraud. Anywhere, anytime."

You really believe that don't you? Typically they use false identities or the identity of a dead person. And if what you say is really the case why is there so much objection to purging the voters roles of dead people as in Florida?

That argument has been proven false. You need an ID to use your EBT card so why is it a problem to use it to vote?
